Moment of Pure Joy With Cadbury Dairy Milk

One thing we enjoyed the most is eating together. Maybe it be a dinner at the restaurant or a meal cooked with so much love. There is so much joy seeing my family eat and share food. And that’s one thing that I am proud of, our dinning experiences somehow instilled the values of sharing with our kids.

From time to time, we make our lunch or dinner more special by sharing a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk bar. The kids love the idea of one big bar being passed around as everyone takes a bite. It does not only teach them the value of sharing but as well as how to be fair with others.

And for a mom, this one is a moment of pure joy:

Cadbury Dairy Milk is one of my favorite chocolates (sweet tooth alert! sweet tooth alert! ahaha) and being a hazelnut fan, syempere I’d always go for the Hazel Nut bar.. where as the kids prefer the Dairy Milk Bar. I have a secret.. when eating Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate, I let it melt in my hand first then I savor the smooth and creamy texture of the chocolate.. how about you? How do you enjoy a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate?

Cadbury Dairy Milk is available in Dairy Milk, Fruit & Nut, Hazelnut, Roast Almond, Chocolate Mousse and Hazelnut Praline flavours. Its packs are in 40g, 75g, 175g and 180g sizes. Know more about Cadbury Dairy Milk by visiting Cadbury Philippines Facebook Page.

New Routine, Exciting Days Ahead!

Ang title sana ng post na ito ay Back to regular programming.. but after a few days, I realized, the title is not apt for what is happening to us, particularly to me and to my routine.

This school year is different from last year.. I have three school boys this school year but I am less haggard.. it feels like, everything’s in proper places.. parang swak na swak lahat.. My routine is quite hectic, umm more hectic than it was last year, but I am surviving it and loving it. I’d wake up at 5 (but working on 4 so I can blog at least an hour), prepare breakfast (hopefully I can squeeze in my Metafit routine.. it’s a work in progress too haha)take bath (make up time!) wake the kids up, give them a bath.. let them eat their breakfast while I enjoy my “me” time aka coffee time.. after breakfast brush teeth then off to school. After dropping them to their respective classrooms, I’ll go home, work then cook lunch. Wake Sati up then off to fetch Sanko and bring the older boys lunch meal.

We usually go to school an hour before Sangko’s dismissal (mahirap na, baka mapaaga ang uwi, magwawala un pag hindi kame nakita) and to make use of the time, I teach Sati while waiting for Sanko (sorta homeschooling but happens on the school hehe)

Before lunch, a few minutes is spent checking on Sangko’s school books and doing his homework. Lunch time is about me, Sati, Sangko with Sir Chief and Maya.. after lunch, nap time..after nap time, tutor time with the older boys.. then work, the cook dinner.. then sleep.. parang robot lang no? but really, I love it! Mahilig talaga ako sa routine and it’s hard pag mejo nalilihis ako sa routine ko.. so far, so good.. sana ma maintain namin haha

Speaking of “me” time and make up time.. last year talaga, I make it a point na I’m in full battle gear before the sun says hi.. pero pagdating ng summer, tinamad na ako mag make up.. I said to myself, this school year, I should be back to full battle gear.. and one afternoon a surprise and a very nice motivation was delivered at my doorsteps:

Ang bongga di ba! British Invasion!

Collection Cosmetics, one of the hippest and most loved make up brands in the UK, is now here in the Philippines! Get ready to create a make up look that will make you say, “This is me and I love it”.

The box I got includes blush, mascara, lipstick (and lip gloss), eye liner, foundation and a BB cream.. I’d be super biased ha.. pero to date, this is the most exciting loot I received from being a blogger! Yay, thanks so much Collection Cosmetics, ready na ulit sa full battle gear days! (watch out for the reviews on my cosmetics blog: My Painted Lips)

A Father’s Day Tribute…

I am blessed to have the best husband… and more blessed because he is a great dad too…

The story of jog a log…

When Kuya was born, it was difficult.. first time mom and dad..my milk supply came late and Kuya was a cry baby. He’d cry every night and Daddy, coming from work (2 hours travel) would carry him and jog non stop to calm Kuya  (while chanting jog a log.. jog a log). Kahit pagod pagod na yan sa biyahe.. basta umiyak na si Kuya.. karga na agad yan.. jogging dito at joggin doon.. pag nangawit kaka jogging, uupo at magkukwento..

That was one of my fondest memory of him being a first time Dad… and from then on, I knew he would be a good dad to our children. (Right decision to pursue him! opps! haha)

Indeed, my husband turns out to be the best dad. Kahit ngayon, kahit pagod sa trabaho o busy.. he still have time playing with the kids, bringing them to places they like or buying things that they love.

More than that, I love how he shares the same parenting practice as mine. We don’t  spoil the kids and as much as possible we train them to be strong and street smart.. parehas kameng laking kalsada..80’s, 90’s kids.. you know the drill..

And though he never said a word about this.. alam ko ang gusto niyang ipamana sa mga anak namin (aside from good education) ay lakas ng loob, respeto sa kapwa at pagiging mapagbigay.. which is the same thing as what I wanted for my kids.

Like when we went to La Union last May, kahit takot na takot, pinayagan niya sumubok mag surf ang mga bagets..un lang, nakabantay ng bongga si daddy! Pero di ba, the fact na pinayagan niya ang mga bagets, implies to them na he would allow them/ encourage them to do things.. ang saya ko lang nun!

Maswerte talaga ako na siya ang naging ama ng mga anak.. gabi gabi yan, pinagpapasalamat ko.. and this Father’s Day, I just want to say again..

Salamat sa pamana mo Daddy at sa mga ipapamana mo pa.. salamat sa pagiging mabuting ama sa ating mga anak..

And while watching this TVC.. bigla naman akong naiingit sa babae sa commercial…my relationship with my father is not like that (malayong malayo haha) but when it comes to pamana, there is one thing that I am thankful for him..in a very rare conversation with him.. he told me (NV):

Hindi lang sa pagmamahal umiikot ang buhay ng mag asawa

I don’t know what he means by that, but it has been my guiding light in my marriage.. and for that Salamat sa pamana mo Tatay..
