Understanding What Real Estate Agents Do

In the age of the Internet, many people wonder why we still need real estate agents to buy and sell homes. While there are more options for viewing homes for sale and finding potential homebuyers, there is still a great need for qualified real estate agents. Understanding their role and how they can save you money is important for getting the most value from your agent.

Real Estate Agents Save Time

The buying and selling process can be time-consuming. There is a lot of back and forth between the buyer and the seller, and this can mean multiple phone calls, faxes and visits to the property. If you choose to work as your own agent, you will be responsible for setting up appointments to view the property, accommodating the schedule of both the seller (or buyer) and his agent and coordinating all of the necessary meetings.

If you are looking to sell your own home, you will have to field calls from interested buyers and make yourself available to show the home. You may find yourself dealing with problems like no-shows and people who are not serious buyers. (Some people go to view homes for sale as a weekend hobby.)

Real Estate Agents Can Negotiate for You

One of the most important skills in the home buying process is negotiation. Because an agent is not emotionally attached to a home, they are in a better position to ask the seller to make concessions without insulting them or losing the deal. If you hate the pink tile in the bathroom or the outdated paneling in the bedroom, your agent can negotiate a lower price in order to seal the deal. Many homeowners are emotionally attached to their homes, and it can be difficult to negotiate with them on your own. Hiring a real estate agent is the best way to handle negotiations with tact and diplomacy while still getting the best value for your money.

Agents like Kuba Jewgieniew at Realty One Group understand how tricky it can be to buy and sell a home. With years of experience, expert knowledge and ongoing training, agents like Jewgieniew can help you to navigate the murky waters of real estate. Don’t go it alone when it comes to buying or selling your next home. An agent with experience and know-how can make your home purchase or sale a positive experience that is a great value.

Max’s Restaurant 70th Year Celebration

Do you know that Max’s Restaurant has been serving sarap to the bones fried chicken for 70 years now? My oldest memory of Max’s restaurant is 25+ years ago. Madalas kame sa Baclaran branch nila eh and it’s always something that I look forward to kapag naluluwas kame sa Pasay (I grew up in the province fyi). Akalain mong mas matanda pa pala doon ang Max’s Restaurant!

Ang nakakatuwa, even now that Max’s Restaurants is everywhere, my kids had the same excitement as I had with a mere mention of Max’s chicken. It’s really one of our favorite restaurants.

In celebration of its 70th year anniversary, Max’s Restaurant brought its family, friends, and loyal customers back to the place where it all began, the original branch at Scout Tuazon.

There was an outdoor display at the Ruby Hall’s courtyard featuring historic photos of the five original founders, black and white photos of the original branch when it had just opened, and even a photo of the old Greenbelt branch in Makati. As guests admired the displays and exchange happy Max’s stories, they were being serenaded by a quartet playing songs that conjured some of their fondest memories.

Syempre hindi pahuhuli ang #KumareBloggers in celebrating Max’s 70th Year Anniversary. Alam nyo naman na ang favorite ninyong mga kumare eh Max’s din ang favorite na restaurant. I really wish nakasama ako sa marehan portion na ito to enjoy endless trip down memory lane kwentos with Kumares and enjoy the surprises Max’s offered to their guest…

Kase naman, as guests entered Ruby Hall, they were welcomed by a creen showing Max’s Restaurant’s heartwarming television commercials, and by a mini museum hosting various memorabilia through the years. Vintage uniforms, yellowing employee Ids, and even antique menus from previous decades proudly showcased Max’s Restaurant’s apparent staying power in the food industry, having not only survived, but grown through numerous years of changes.

President and CEO of Max’s Group Inc. Mr. Robert F. Trota led the final toast in thanking the guests for being a part of the celebration, sincerely expressing to each of them that “we would not be here without you,” just as he did during his surprise visit to one of the branches. The evening was a genuine and heartwarming expression of gratitude from Max’s Restaurant to all of those who were part of building “The House That Fried Chicken Built” with them. The celebration was truly a testament of the tradition of host-guest hospitality and generosity that the founders started 70 years ago.
