This is just being OC and all… if offended.. please hit the x button..I just noticed that a lot of you are not aware that you can build back links while you comment here on on any other blog. How is that possible? Well by leaving a link on your comment. The next time you tell me, you have a new post that is interesting or you want me to check out your entry in our favorite memes, you can try it by leaving here a text (clickable) that is linked to your post. I noticed that most just leave a plain text with the http.. etc..
It’s not doing you any good.. this is an example OK..If a new blogger chanced upon an awesome site and commented saying:
Hey this site is so cool, you might want to check out my post about this subject matter too:
http://socool.blogspot.com/2009/07/check-out-my-site.html
What will the blog owner do? Most likely than not, he would ignore it.. why? who would wanna copy the http, open a tab and paste it? that’s a lot of work eh? What if another blogger chanced upon the awesome site and saw the comment of the socool blogger? Would he have the patience to copy and paste it in another tab? I guess not?
But of course here in my blog, however long your http codes, I am more than willing to open a new tab/s and copy paste your link… but you can make our world a lot simpler and yours a lot better and more back links..
How to? Put an anchor text instead of a plain text…
The anchor text, link label or link title is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink.(source)
(Hypertext REFerence) The HTML code used to create a link to another page. The HREF is an attribute of the anchor tag, which is also used to identify sections within a document. The HREF contains two components: the URL, which is the actual link, and the clickable text that appears on the page, called the “anchor text.”(source)
How to make one? You have to make a code that starts with href… etc.. ugh! Honestly, even if I am using it for more than 6 months now, I still can’t remember how to make an anchor text, but we can always cheat right? Here’s what I did.. I open my create new post tab, typed in a word, usually the title of my blog, Make or Break.. create a link by clicking the cutey green round on my post dashboard, and typed in the blog address of my blog.. then I clicked on the edit html and copy it in a notepad or somewhere else… It looks like this:
