Giant Christmas DIY Balls

If you have a lawn, then it’s perfect to have these giant Christmas balls all over the place. Either you hang them from your front porch and surrounding trees or just lay them on the ground, and they can easily make your home look gorgeous during the day. You don’t even have to leave your house to find the right materials. You can easily find giant plastic balls in some famous online shop and cover them with colorful craft papers. To make them noticeable during the night, you can wrap them with colorful Christmas lights.

Adorable Plastic Cup Snowman

Who says we can’t create snowman here in our country? Snowman is one of the most popular Christmas figures during this season and a must-have decor. But instead of using snow, we will be using white-colored plastic cups. Moreover, creating this kind of snowman can be done with the help of your kids. Once you’ve finished forming the cups into a snowman, you can put Christmas lights around him and place him on the porch. And since plastic cups are inexpensive, you can create more and place them all over your lawn.

Snowman Fridge

Probably most homes have their plain white fridge in the kitchen. If you have one, you can turn it into a snowman. To make it more fun, ask your kids to help you cut 2 large black circles for eyes, 3 medium black circles for his buttons, 5 small black circles his mouth, and lastly 1 orange triangle for his nose. Simply create the snowman image with those circles and place a red ribbon in the middle, and your snowman fridge is good to go.

Wall Mounted Christmas Tree

We all know that the Christmas tree eats up a lot of space inside the house, so why not try making a space-saver wall Christmas tree instead? This idea is very useful, especially for those who live in small apartments where they have very little floor space. To make it look similar to a regular Christmas tree, we recommend using artificial pine garland and some decors commonly used for Christmas trees. Feel free also to light it up with Christmas lights to make it more appealing to the eyes.

There are lots of excellent DIY ideas out there that don’t require you to spend too much. Just be creative, and don’t forget to have fun.

Where to Buy Christmas Decors in Manila

Christmas is just around the corner. Oh let me rephrase that, CHRISTMAS IS HERE. I know it just November but Christmas here in the Philippines comes really early. IN fact, as the clock strikes 12 AM on September 1, Christmas sons can already be heard. Sept 1 is officially the first day of Christmas here in our country! And I know as early as August, some people are already asking Where to Buy Christmas Decors in Manila.

Where to Buy Christmas Decors in Manila

I am not an early decorator, I must confess. I also love Halloween so I usually save October to first week of November for Halloween. Though I don’t really decorate for Halloween, there is always a slim chance that I might! And since Halloween is over and Undas break is over too, kids are all in school again, I think it is just high time to start decorating or planning!

So I have been thinking lately, Where to Buy Christmas Decors in Manila? Is there a one stop shop for Christmas decors here in Metro Manila? I believe there is none, I mean it’s that going on each and every store looking for the perfect decors is what it’s all about di ba? The excitement of finding something that is unique and speaks to you. So I am giving you this list of top 5 places Where to Buy Christmas Decors in Manila.

Where to Buy Christmas Decors in Manila

Dapitan Arcade for Christmas Village. This is the top place to go when you are looking for home decors. Christmas pa yan o anuman. Kung may mall of asia, ito naman ang home decor store of asia. So of course, this is top on my list.

This is the best place to look for Christmas Village in Manila. Sobrang daming choices, different materials, different sizes, and different prices.

Aside from Christmas village, Dapitan is also known for native decors and novelty items. If you are looking for Christmas lanterns and dont want to travel to Pampanga, Dapitan Arcade is a must!

SM Department Store for Christmas theme inspiration. I know it’s quite amusing that I am adding SM Department store in my list, considering that, Christmas decors at SM can be a bit expensive.. pero, when it comes to ideas and themes, panalo ang SM! If you have no idea what theme you want, go to SM. They literally have everything. Yung akala mong maganda na ang pink Christmas tree, magugulat ka, mas maganda pala ang all white. The Christmas decor section at SM Department store (specially Megamall) is full of not just Christmas decors but inspiration! Also, best place to buy Christmas lights kase assured ka sa quality.

Divisoria for Christmas Tree. Yes and yes and yes. The Christmas Tree I bought from Divi is still up and running er standing and it’s 5 years old na. forgive me if I can’t remember how much my tree was but natatandaan ko ang mura ng bili compared sa mall. Where to buy? Wag sa mga malls sa Divi. Huwag din sa mga gilid gilid ng kalsada ha. GO at the back part, sa likod ng dating Divi Mall and look for stalls selling Christmas Trees.

PRO TIP: Mag canvass ka muna! And start shopping now bago pa mag December.

Shopwise for cheap Christmas balls. I love Shopwise for the very reason na feeling ko wise shopper ako every time I shop there. Christmas decors there are really cheap. I noticed from my Shopwise Alabang visit, mas marami na silang decors ngayon ha and the price is still affordable. I also do my last minute Christmas house wares shopping at Shopwise, every year!

Landers Superstore for REAL Christmas tree and decors from US. No doubt about that. You can really buy a REAL CHRISTMAS TREE from Landers. Kinda expensive though para sa mga gaya naming dukha but I am sure there are those who appreciates real Christmas tree. Christmas decors from Landers are really unique and you won’t find it malls or department stores. Sa Landers lang! How to be a Landers member? Check membership requirement here.

I am planning to visit Dapitan Arcade soon and will definitely VLOG about it! When is the best time to buy Christmas decors? NOW! Too late sa December, discounted nga kaso halos ubos na ang stocks.

Amazing (and Easy) Halloween Decorations for Your Garden

When you take the kids out trick or treating around your neighbourhood you can’t fail to be amazed by some of the outdoor and indoor decorations that some dedicated followers of Halloween have put together.

Next up, you’ll wonder exactly how they found the components – and the time – to get it all done before the big night itself. Chances are, most of their displays weren’t that hard, so with a bit of online and junk-store shopping, alongside a smattering of craft-smarts, you too can wow this year’s crop of willing victims…sorry, trick or treaters!

Invest in some welcoming signs
Heading to My Security Sign and ordering some fun and welcoming Halloween garden signs is a great way to let people know you have a big stash of candy waiting for them inside. Best of all, the only skill you need is the ability to use a sense of humour and a buy now button!

Go to town with the spiders’ webs
This couldn’t be easier. Order or shop for an industrial amount of fake spider webbing, locate a few fixing points around the front of your house – from the roof to the ground and beyond – and get fixin’! Tree branches, hooks, garden furniture and rocks can all serve as anchor points and when the web is spun, you can scatter its victims around it. Buy the biggest fake spider you can find and place it in the centre, as well as some gruesome looking egg sacs.

Create a sinister ambience with a smoke machine
Again, this couldn’t be easier – using the dark magic of online shopping you can source a user-friendly smoke machine and the fluid then use it to spread a creepy mist around your garden. If you can get hold of some fake gravestones as well, you’ve got the set of an old-fashioned horror film right there outside your front door.

Have a skeleton campfire
Buy some plastic skeletons from the decorations aisle in your nearest emporium – three or four should do – dress them as cowboys and arrange them on logs around a (fake) campfire. The campfire is easy to make, just stack branches and twigs around some super-bright yellow and orange LED lights. You could leave a couple of spaces on the logs free for the living so they can take photos with their skinny new friends.

Hang loads of bats from your trees
You can have some fun here, because you could find some glow-in-the-dark bats, or ones whose eyes light up so that people can see them and avoid bumping into them. Then you could add some that don’t glow in the dark so that people can’t avoid bumping into them…

Carve some pumpkins
You have to, really, or it’s not truly Halloween. You don’t have to restrict yourself to scary faces, though. Or, indeed, to classic orange carver pumpkins. See if you can collect together lots of different sizes, shapes and colors of pumpkins, squashes and gourds so that there’s variety and interest for people as they walk up your garden path.
