Cool Gadget For Grandmoms

cSee the title of my blog? Make or Break. And did you noticed the tag line? Full time mom; part time worrier. Yes, I worry a lot. In fact, I even worry things that I should not. Then again, there were things that I was glad that I thought about it. Medical Alert is one of the best product for people like me. No, it is not something that will alert me if I started worrying. It is a gadget that can take some of my worries away. I sometimes think of my relative who is so old that she is already on the wheelchair. One time, she fell out of her chair and my other relatives only noticed it after a few hours. Good thing that the floor was carpeted and she was not hurt. What if she fall so hard?

Medical Alert is the answer. They got two coll products for grandparents and for older people. One of their product is the FALL ALERT. It detects fall and slips and when it happens it notifies people in the central monitoring station to send an emergency unit. Another on is the GPS Tracking Bracelet that functions like a cellphone. The user can call and ask for help. And if the user is lost, the location can e tracked through the bracelet.

If ever I got to live as old as my relative, I would ask my kids for this gadget too.

Time To Relax

As a consequence for eating anything, everything fancy during my pregnancy, my belly is a still big. Big as in I look like I am still 5 months pregnant. I can’t lose the extra fats through dieting as I am breastfeeding Sati. I still can’t do exercise as of now. I used to do aerokaebo, a combination of aerobics and boxing, before I got pregnant with Chico. Then I had Chico and was not able to lose some of the fats I gained. Then after a year, I got pregnant with Sati, just imagine how much fats I accumulated over those pregnancies and post partum gluttony.

My sister recommended infrared saunas I use to lose some of my fats. She says that there has been studies that saunas can actually burn calories. As we know, saunas are hot and you sweat a lot during your session. She showed me a video on how one can be “thin” in as fast as 30 minutes. It makes me wanna go tot he nearest sauna salon or buy my own sauna (if I can).

Another good thing about sauna is that it can relieve pain and rheumatoid arthritis. I think it can really do. I remember when I was young that my grandmother used to treat her arthritis with hot compress. She would use a bottle filled with hot water and roll it over her hands or her legs whenever her rheumatoid arthritis attacks. It was an effective way to relieve her from pain. So I guess it is almost the same as it is with sauna. The heat from sauna can relieve the pain from rheumatoid arthritis. I am pretty sure it can also heal my stiff neck I am suffering now, too much blogging, I guess.

Still With Flu

I am missing a lot here in bloguniverse. There’s a gazillion (*grin) of comments that I just approved today. And it will take sometime before I can get back to lovely and sweet people who leave their thoughts here. I lack the enerygy to blog hop. As I have said before, a flu hit the household, not your common colds but a flu. You might be wondering how I am able t post rapidly given my current health condition, well most of them are scheduled post. Some of my post are well drafted in my mind (I can even make a draft even while I am sleeping aka multitasking LOL) that it would only take a minute to type them.

As for the adgitize, UTOY is free for all, a publisher or an advertiser can use it, after all even if you are an advertiser, you still want to earn points. As for the publishers, gaining 100 points in a flash is better.

In line with our current health state, I have something to share about flu.. and hopefully this week, I can also share some tips on fighting a flu or preventing it (but I suck on that I guess)

The most common flu begins abruptly, with a fever in the 102 to 106 degree range (with adults on the lower end of the spectrum), a flushed face, body aches, and marked lack of energy. Some people have other systemic symptoms such as dizziness or vomiting. The fever usually lasts for a day or two, but can last five days.

Somewhere between day 2 and day 4 of the illness, the “whole body” symptoms begin to subside, and respiratory symptoms begin to increase. The virus can settle anywhere in the respiratory tract, producing symptoms of a cold, croup, sore throat, bronchiolitis, ear infection, and/or pneumonia.

The most prominent of the respiratory symptoms is usually a dry, hacking cough. Most people also develop a sore (red) throat and a headache. Nasal discharge and sneezing are not uncommon. These symptoms (except the cough) usually disappear within 4 to 7 days. Sometimes there is a second wave of fever at this time. The cough and tiredness usually lasts for weeks after the rest of the illness is over.(source

And yes I am still damn tired. My whole body is still aching, but blogniverse would go on as it is.. Gotta draft some more.. And oh Jump for Pehpot are now close.. winners will be announce on Thursday evening..
