P&G Ariel #ShareTheLoad Video

I was watching a noon time show a few days ago. It was the sugod bahay segment of Eat Bulaga. They were interviewing the sugod bahay winner, usual talks.. then they asked the wife. One of the hosts asked if the wife has no plans of looking for a job (or something to that effect) to help the husband.

HELP THE HUSBAND?!?  TEKA MUNA!

Opps sorry for the reaction.. I just can’t help but overthink that phrase.. help the husband?!? para makatulong kay Mister? Makes me wonder, how household chores are defined by our society?

I’m glad my husband shares the same views as mine. My role as a wife and a mother is as important as his role as a our provider. In our household, I do all the chores not because of gender. I do all the chores because it is my share in our family. I never bother him with household chores as he never bothers me with our finances.

But even though that’s our arrangement, I still wish I could hear people saying, “wala ka ba planong maghugas ng plato para matulungan mo Misis mo” or “wala ka ba plano magwalis man lang para makatulong ka sa asawa mo”. When I saw Ariel #ShareTheLoad ad, finally, someone recognizes that household chores is not just for the mom or the wife!

Have you seen the video? I encourage you to watch it and share with what you think about it. Isn’t it about time that Dads #ShareTheLoad?

Step 1. Cut each illustration board into 2, giving you 6 pieces of 7.5 by 10 inches board.

Step 2. Put two boards together (shorter side) with at least 1 cm apart then tape it. Do this to the remaining boards, giving you 3 taped boards.

Step 3. Spread all the boards then tape the upper part together. Make sure there’s a space between each board.

And now you can start folding clothes!
