Anything mommy blogger related here. This features blog events coverage. This blog also publish press release and write ups. Tips and tutorials on how to be an effective blogger.

This also include a list of top mommy blog in the Philippines.

In addition, here is the 5 SIMPLE STEPS TO BE A MOMMY BLOGGER:

1. Create a blog name that will represent you as a mommy blog. Sometimes it's good to include the noun mommy or mother or nanay.

2. Create an email the same as your blog name for branding purpose, in other words, for identification. After that, you can proceed to step 3 which is actually one of the most challenging part.

3. Open a blog. It has been debated for so many times which is the best blogging platform to use. For starters, I usually recommend blogspot because it is free. On the other han, if you are ready to shell out money, wordpress org is the best.

4. Design your blog. This sound like an easy task to do, it is actually, however, it can be very time consuming. The number of free templates for a blog is endless. To help you decide, set your blog tone and color. Will it be a dark themed blog? Light? What will be the primary colors? And from there, searching will be easier.

5. Lastly and most importantly, Start writing. The best way to start this is to introduce yourself. Likewise, you can also create a list of why you started a mommy blog. Or you can mention top 10 things that you would want your future readers to know about you.

Freelance Tax Application

Thinking the process is really complicated, I seek the help of Taxumo for my freelance tax application. How I wish I did my own so I can share with you the process of applying for Freelance Tax here in Pasig. I heard that the process here can be really challenging (one of the reasons why my papers took a while).

Mommy Levy, processed her own and can read about her self-employed BIR application/ freelancer BIR application here: SELF-EMPLOYED/FREELANCER: HOW TO REGISTER WITH BIR

I submitted the forms and necessary docs to Taxumo and pay for everything I need.  I got an update that I still need to secure a Barangay Certificate. That’s when it all becomes blurry! BARANGAY CLEARANCE OMG!

To those who are not aware, here in Pasig, you can’t have a Brgy Clearance if you are not a registered voter of your Barangay. I know that because in 2017, I tried securing one. Sa first floor pa lang ng brgy hall, pinaalis na ako. Last year, I tried transferring my voter’s registration to our current Brgy, unfortunately, when I tried last June,  the registration is still closed. The next thing I knew, SARADO na ang registration for voters.

Jump to 4:22 if you have questions regarding Voter’s ID and when you can get your voter’s ID.

So back to my freelance tax application, HOW IN THE WORLD CAN I SECURE A BRGY CERTIFICATE? huhuhuhuhu Mag aantay ba ako ng panibagong election?

It took me almost a month to finally have the courage to go to my Barangay Center and try to get a certificate.

Hindi naman pala ganun kahirap! Tips kung paano kumuha ng Barangay Certificate kahit hindi ka botante sa Barangay:

  1. Dress presentably and look professional.
  2. Promise them na lilipat ka sa Brgy as soon as mag open ulit ang registration.
  3. Be nice and courteous.

I had to face another challenges though. I am not sure what to get, Barangay Certificate or Barangay Clearance. So, I asked for 2, Barangay Clearance and a Barangay Certificate that I am a freelancer here. That where the challenge begins. I need to ask for signatures of 5 persons as witness that I am a freelancer here. ANO DAW? Basically, kailangan ko mangapitbahay!

With the support of my super loving husband, I was able to secure the 2 docs I needed and through the help of the staff from our Barangay din. Ang babait pala nila doon.

One week after I sent my 2 docs to Taxumo, I got my Certificate of Registration from BIR. Wohooooo! And one month after, I got all my docs including the books and OR. Right in time before my birthday month ends.

Now, thinking about it, I am quite glad I did it with Taxumo.. if I did it on my own, malamang nawalan na ako ng lakas ng loob upon hearing Baranggay Clearance.

But it would have been more fun sana if I DIYed no? So I have something more meaningful and better to share with you. Another helpful post for Freelance Tax Application is Mommy Donna’s post: Register As A Freelancer! My Experience in Registering at BIR

So let’s me just share with you how to process your Freelance Tax Application as I understand it (based on what happened to me and based on reading entries from Mommy Levy and Mommy Donna).

STEP 1. Tax Identification Number. Wala ka pang TIN? Apply online here: Online BIR. May TIN na from old work/employee? Yan din ang gagamitin mo but you need to file for information update. Go to the BIR office where your TIN is registered and ask for a transfer. That’s BIR Form 1905. Please make sure na alam mo kung RDO Code ng lilipatan mo na city. Here’s the Updated BIR RDO Codes 2019. Kung malayo, you can ask someone to do this for you, kay nanay ko pinagawa ang sa akin since my TIN was registered in Cabanatuan.

STEP 2. SECURE ALL DOCS:

  • Copy of BIR Form 1905
  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate and Marriage Contract
  • VALID ID
  • Barangay Certificate
  • Notarized Income Payee’s Sworn Declaration of Gross Receipt/Sales (download the copy here at pa notaryo mo)
  •  OTR (Occupational Tax Receipt)
  • Copy of a latest contract/ moa mo with your client.
  • Ledger/ accounting book.

STEP 3. GO TO BIR

  1. Fill up BIR Form No. 1901 or Application for Registration Form.
  2. Fill up 3 BIR FORM 0605 or Payment Form and pay. Magtanong ka lang kung saan pwede magbayad, mababait naman ang mga tao sa BIR
  3. Fill up BIR Form No. 1906 for printing and ask around for accredited
  4. Give all your FORMS together with your ledger/ accounting book.
  5. Wait for you COR. Pag maaga daw dumating, natatapos within the day. Sa Pasig daw matagal talaga

STEP 4. COR and OR PRINTING

You will receive your COR together with your stamped ledger and the BIR Form No. 1906. Give the BIR Form No. 1906 to the accredited printing press. Wait another days para sa OR mo.

How much to process Freelance Tax Application?

According to Mommy Levy, she only spent 2630 for all of it. Mommy Donna spent around 2K (no details on her blog).

By the way, all forms mentioned above can be downloaded sa BIR website: https://www.bir.gov.ph/index.php/bir-forms.html

Now on to filling taxes! I am planning to do it my own, to see how it goes. Mukha namang madali lang, nakaka intimidate lang talaga sa una. Kung nagawa ni Mommy Levy at ni Mommy Donna, kaya nyo din!

Celebrate Valentine’s with Hallmark

Love comes in different ways. In different forms, in different places, and in different moments. See, love doesn’t always equate to romance. It may not always be visible, but it’s always there—in the form of your friend’s sweet smile, mom’s comforting hug, or dad’s gentle reminders to always take care of yourself. The point being, love is there whenever and wherever we decide to give and share it.

This Valentine’s Day, Hallmark is making it their mission to #GiveLoveShareLove. On February 14, Hallmark will be at MRT Cubao station and giving away 10,000 free single journey tickets and Hallmark Valentine’s day cards. As an additional treat, a prize of a buffet dinner for two will also be given to 10 lucky winners. Passengers must like Hallmark Philippines on Facebook, post a photo of the Hallmark Valentine’s Day Card, and tag his/her special someone with a Valentine’s Day message with the hashtag #HallmarkGiveLoveShareLove.

The day will be made sweeter by social media influencers and real life couples, David Guison and Vina Guerrero, along with Trice Nagusara and Seph Cham, who will be there to give out the single journey tickets and Hallmark cards.
Moreover, a singing flash mob will liven up the MRT platform area to serenade passengers before they board the train.

For your special someone, Hallmark will also be selling flower bouquets and letter chocolates in the following SM Stationary branches: SM Las Piñas, SM Mall of Asia, SM Makati, SM Aura Premiere, SM Megamall, and SM North EDSA, available in single stem, three stem, or half-dozen bouquets beginning tomorrow, February 12 until 14. Add in a sweet note on a Hallmark card, because nothing is more romantic than handwritten letters.

Sure, love should be shown every day. But there’s nothing wrong with celebrating it a little louder on Valentine’s Day. On this dear day, may all feel a little extra loved—in the most unexpected time, at the most unexpected place.

5 Things You Need To Know Before Buying Pre-Owned House

A property seeker is always hesitant when it comes to buying second-hand homes. This is because such properties could eventually cost you a fortune in renovations if you are not cautious.

Spare yourself from possible buyer’s remorse. PSBank, through its “Good to Know” campaign, help you spot a gem among wide choices of pre-owned houses with these tips:

Know where to look. The best places to find pre-owned real estate properties for sale are banks and local government institutions such as the Home Development Mutual Fund or PAG-IBIG. Check out their website and you’ll find the best property deals. There are also property auctions that these institutions organize. Some properties not normally listed in their websites are being auctioned here.

Schedule a visit or inspection. Determine the real condition of the house yourself by asking a professional inspector for help. Check if the basic structure, floor plan and infrastructure remain sturdy and durable. Ensure that there’s electrical and plumbing system installed, rooms are well-proportioned and there are no bad cracks or serious leaks. A great buy would be one with no major fixes and you’ll be able to move in to your new home soon.

Consider the location. The location is just as important as the house itself. If it is located within a good school system, a nearby transportation, market or grocery, then finding a home priced to accommodate the necessary updates could be a good deal.

Verify documents. Check the title and latest property tax receipt. The title will not only tell you how old the property is but it will also let you know if the property had a chain of previous owners.

Check the market value of the property. To ensure that you will not be paying more than you should, go through the current price trends and get an estimate or seek an expert to help you evaluate the second hand property against similar properties in the area.

Buying an excellent pre-owned property or a second-hand home entails lots of patience and due diligence. However, getting it for a bargain price should be more than enough motivation and be able to convince you that what you purchased is more than what you paid for. You really just need to know where to look.

PSBank is currently offering significant discount on its already low-priced pre-owned real estate properties for sale.

Buyers looking for quality and affordable pre-owned condominium units, houses and/or lots will enjoy 20% to 25% discount on selected properties when they purchase from December 4, 2018 to March 4, 2019.

Aside from this great deal, you are assured of “clean” pre-owned properties for sale. This means that each property in PSBank’s list of Real Estate Properties for Sale has a registered title and a tax declaration consolidated under the Bank’s name. Plus, all properties are free from any legal issues and are already in the possession of the Bank.

To avail of the promo, you simply need to submit a completely filled-out Offer to Buy form and Buyer’s Information Sheet to PSBank Asset Sales Department, at any nearest PSBank branch, or via the Bank’s accredited brokers. You also have the option to make their purchase in cash or by applying for a PSBank Home Loan with Prime Rebate.

PSBank Home Loan with Prime Rebate offers low interest rates, convenient payment modes, and flexible payment terms. Applicants will also get a credit decision within five banking days or less via SMS. Borrowers can also save money by paying early or before the due date or by paying more than their monthly loan amortization. PSBank Home Loan has the Prime Rebate feature allowing home loan clients to earn rebates in the form of “interest discount” on any advance or excess payments made on the loan. Over time, clients could use the rebates to lower the loan principal, shorten the loan term, or even both.

Check out the list of properties and download the forms at www.psbank.coml.ph/propertiesforsale.
