Make Or Break 2009

First day of the year.. and before we finally say goodbye to 2009.. let me just give you a recap of my life..as a mom, as a blogger and as a woman. 2009 has been really friendly to me, except for one little tiny bad experience we had during Ondoy, I can say the year was awesome, heck, it was one of the best year!

For one, I did not have a major problem last 2009.. and if there has been any.. we or the hubby always find a solution to it. We did experience the wrath of Ondoy but we all came out of it alive and unscratched. Yes, we lost almost all our things (but not my mega blocs!) but a lot of people helped us made in acquiring more than what we lost.

The year has also been the happiest for our family. 2009 and we had our first ever baby girl in the family. We are delighted, happy, ecstatic and most of all thankful for having her. I cried million of tears when I learned that the baby I was carrying is a girl. I never thought that day would come but it did.. it did in 2009. And yeah, before the year ends, she was with us, celebrating Christmas and New Year. Our princess.. our baby girl.

I found my niche..no, not in blogging.. but in life.. and that is to blog.. har har.. seriously, I found my circle.. the marce club and many other bloggers that I got to know and developed a certain closeness. That is one thing that I am most thankful about, finding real friends amidst geographical locations. Founding one that can make you laugh and can relate to you in so many ways and yet you haven’t even seen each other personally are just great. To the marce club.. I hope our relationship will not end in our sites.. and even if Mr G would take our Prs away, we would still be friends.

Aside from acquiring a lot of domains, one thing that am thankful about, in my blogging career is the fact that I won in Philippine Blog Awards for Family and Living category. Having recognized in a field that you love is overwhelming. Blogging about my family is my passion and when they say I am the best for that.. I am happy!

And this year I wish for more opps and more blogging friends and more time to blog..LOL

We Need To Breathe

I have been depressed lately and I think we need a vacation. If only I can afford it I would book a room in hotel barcelona. We could stay there for a week or two. Booking for a hotel accommodation is as easy as pie. And since we are already in Europe, we can also visit Paris and stay in hotel paris. For sure we visit a lot of places and enjoy our stay there. It could take away all my worries and depressions.

The reason why I am depressed? Still have something to do with what happened to us during the storm. Well you know that we were affected by the flood that hit our country last September 26. Yes it was more than a month ago now but every where I look I was reminded by it. As much as possible I want to forget that experience but it is really hard. Just like yesterday, I was due for my post natal check up and Sati is due for her check up with the Pediatrician. My Obstetrician and her Pediatrician is an hour away from our house. It’s far, I know, but we are so used to them. Remember that I gave birth to Sati in a hospital that is an hour away from us (or two plus heavy traffic). And since our car (no thanks to the insurance company) is still on muddy condition (apparently, more than a month after it was towed and brought to their restoration area, the car is still in muddy condition), our only means of transportation is to take a cab.

Now let’s talk about the cab, well, the driver charge us 3x more than the usual fare because our destination is really far. the worst part of it, the drier smells really bad. Imagine we have to endure that. It was really depressing. It makes me wanna wish we were in Rome and staying on hotel Rome. If we can only afford an out of the country vacation. The idea of getting away from all these is very tempting. And since we still cannot afford it, I promised myself that I will devote my January earnings on an out of town trip with the family. I hope we already got a bigger car by them.

Make or Break On PBA

Two weeks ago, Doc Gelo of Beyond Toxicity informed me that together with his site, Make or Break made it to the Philippine Blog Awards finalist for Family and Living category. I still hadn’t thanked Doc G for telling me the good news and I got another one from him.. I WON THE PHILIPPINE BLOG AWARDS 2009 FOR FAMILY AND LIVING!!

The awarding was last Friday and since I was still in Nueva Ecija then, I was not able to attend. Someone texted me that I won but still in disbelief, searched in the net for some answers and it was Doc Gelo again! It was such an honor to be awarded as such. I mean, this is what my blog talks about, family (parenting) and living and to be recognized as best in it is really something. I could not express how thankful I am to Doc Gelo for bringing in the good news. (I hope to comment on your blog again, when my toxicity level goes down)

It was also my fellow kabarrio that confirmed the news. A congratulatory notes flooded my email.. and I was a bit embarrassed.

Also another thankful note to Noemi of Touched by an angel for the link and also to Tonyo Cruz (who my husband knows.. darn! why is it the my husband know more bloggers than I do.. it so happens that he also knows someone from Nuffnang.. and I thought through blogging I can have my own life.. nyahaha).
