Yes, Crazy. An Update On Globelines

After my experiences with Globelines Hotline, I decided it’s time to gather some data and see for myself, is it just me? is the world conspiring against my connection? Is it mercury retrograde to me very single day?

And so after they gave another number, I tried calling it again but to no avail. Now I thought why I don’t I inquire on some of their subscribers regarding their broadband service and their costumer care support. I started dialling numbers randomly, er, not that random because I just used our land line number as a base.. I just altered the last digit.. he he..

The results are here, out of the five numbers I called, 4 of them says their Internet connection is a problem. Only 1 out 5 can testify that it is kinda hard to call their hot line. The other 4 says, they experienced calling technical support but not in the last few days.

I even tried calling them on strange hours of the day, yeah like 7 PM, 11 PM, 2 AM, even at 6 in the morning. Finally, at around 8 or so in the morning, my call was accepted.

I really have to commend the one who take my call, Josan Paquiz, who was very apologetic about their system and their incompetence. She scheduled a technical visit on our site..

Days after, the connection is a bit better, according to Tomtom (what a name), another technical support rep, the problem was on their box or something and that they are still trying to fix it.

Now, my connection is OK, not that fast but my problem regarding intermittent connection has lessen.

Hotline Menu

Just want to share with you some yummy (ek!) menu from the Globelines HELL hot line

First dial 171, then press 1 (or 2 if you want the instruction in Taglish).
Press 1 if your from Metro..

If you want to apply and know more about Globe broadband package and promo, PRESS 1

To access all your billing details, request for reconnection and reactivation of your Globelines land line and broadband or Internet account and to inquire to other payment facilities, PRESS 2

To know the status of your request for on site visit,
PRESS 3

For your broadband and Internet problem and other technical concerns, PRESS 4

For your Globelines land line phone repair, PRESS 5

To help you with other concerns, PRESS 9

And since I have been receiving busy signals from menu 4, I tried pressing other menus.. but all of them were busy too. I tried the last option which is 9, because I think I earned enough reason to call them for other concerns. And luckily somebody answered and I told them what my other concern is. I told them I need another hot line number to call..

The number to call is 173…

OK we’ll see..

1410: HOTLINE TO HELL

I have been experiencing terrible impertinent connection and slow connection with our Globelines broadband connection. I have been trying to reach their costumer care to no avail. No avail means their costumer care number is ALWAYS busy!!

Call 171

I am pretty sure you are familiar with the SOP of this costumer care numbers.. press 1 if you want the instruction in English, press 2 if you want it in taglish, and press your nose to kill yourself. DAMN!

Once I am in, I would wait for all their promos and songs to end to listen for the menu.. and since I HAVE BEEN CALLING THEM FOR 3 STRAIGHT DAYS NOW (walang palya!), I already memorized and jot down the menu..

SO after dialling 171, I would simply dial:
1 (English)
4 (for my broadband and Internet problem and other technical concerns)
1 ( Metro Manila subscriber)
0 (to talk to a technical support representative)

After which: Please wait while I connect you to out technical support representative…

Thank you for calling. The next available representative will assist you shortly..

if you are new to them, you would think that shortly means, uh, well, shortly.. but NO! It means that you have to finish the call and blog how pissed you are then dial again. I tried waiting for a representative, tolerated their music.. and so on and son. Naubos na din kulangot ko, pati kili kili ko kalbo na, lahat ng split ends ko nabiyak ko na, pero ineng, wala pa din!!

This has been happenning for the past three days..

Isipin mo naman tatlo nang daliri ko ang kasya sa ilong.. maawa naman kayo!
