I have never seen The Sound of Music, I am only familiar to some of its songs (like the doremi, favorite things). Now I had the chance to watch it and enjoy the songs and the scenery. It is an old movie (1965), and my curious mind, wonders, where are the actors now..
Maria as played by Julia Andrews, oh well she is so IN until now. I have last seen her in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. I last heard her in Enchanted as the narrator..
Christopher Plummer as Captain Von Trapp, he is still alive and if you have watched National Treasure, he played as the grandfather of Nicholas Cage.
The seven kids who played the Von Trapp kids, which by the way 9, let’s see if they are still on the business ( are you not curious how they looked like now?)
Charmian Carr, (who is 21 at the time of the movie, but 16 as Liesl) she is now selling books!
Nicholas Hammond, (Friedrich)looks like he is still in the business. He even played Peter Parker in the 70’s. He is more of a TV guy than in movies.
Heather Menzies who played Louisa, turns out to be a very beautiful lady. She is aging graciously and gorgeously!
Duane Chase (the incorrigible Kurt) is now a software engineer.
Angela Cartwright who played Brigitta is now a photographer and an artist.
Debbie Turner as Martha (who loves pink) is now a florist (but she is not close to Barry the Bee)
Kym Karath who played the cutey Gretl is now resuming her acting career (whatever that means)
