Globe Postpaid gave one lucky customer of more than 20 years and certified Marvel Cinematic Universe fan Hyacinth Capilos a Marvel-ous once-in-a-lifetime trip to Singapore to meet the super cast of Captain Marvel!
Last January, Globe Postpaid held an online contest asking fans, “What makes you excited about Captain Marvel?” Hyacinth, whose favorite Avenger is Captain America, answered with a heartwarming tribute to her family and women empowerment: “My husband and I are raising three daughters to be strong and independent. The first time the trailer came out, I knew that our daughters should watch it. In an industry where men are usually the superheroes, I am excited that we will have a woman to take on the challenge of saving the world.”
Accompanied by her husband Jason, Hyacinth was front and center at the Captain Marvel Fan Event in Marina Bay Sands. They got to see and take photos with Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Gemma Chan and the film directors, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck on the red carpet! Plus, they even got to attend a special screening of exclusive movie footage.
Aside from these, they also got to take a quick tour around Singapore. “Everything about the trip was amazing – from the time that we arrived to our departure. We took a quick trip to Sentosa and our room had the most amazing view of Gardens by the Bay,” she gushed.
Though this was her first time to join a Globe contest, Hyacinth has been with Globe ever since she was still a student back in 1997.
