5 Things to Love About The New Shopwise Alabang

Shopwise Alabang recently launched its new look and I was there to witness it! Ang daming naka promo for Shopwise 20th Anniversary but let’s not talk about the promo and discounts kase nasa VLOG ko na yun. Watch my VLOG!

Let’s talk about the new look of Shopwise Alabang. I am impressed… really impressed, comparing this to other Shopwise branches, ang laki talaga ng pagbabago.

Here are the 5 things to love about the new Shopwise Alabang:

The new Shopwise Alabang is well lit. Pwede na mag selfie everywhere. Kidding aside, I really love the lighting of the new Shopwise Alabang. It brightens up the mood and makes my shopping experience happy. Alam mo yung feeling na pagpasok mo ng grocery magaan yung pakiramdam mo, that’s how I felt when I went inside Shopwise Alabang.

The new Shopwise Alabang aisle is really big. Two carts can fit in at the same time. No traffic considering na ang dami namimili sa Shopwise.

The new Shopwise is well organized. I love the fact that there’s a specific area for each needs. Gaya ng mga household needs na hindi consumable, plates and the likes, they are placed on one side, adjacent to the appliances. May flow and I really like it. Veggies and fruits comes together and then a few steps away from that area is the seafood and meat section naman. For a mom who live big and is always on the go, it really helps talaga pag well organized ang pupuntahan mo na grocery and that it is a one stop shop. All you need for your house, you can find in Shopwise.

Dinning area is big. Shopwise is truly the place where moms can go as this is a one-stop-shop for all your household needs! There is even a dining area and it’s big and with many food options. Good place to hang out sa mga tweens and teens while mom is doing the grocery.

Superb Shopwise experience. This is what I love most about the new Shopwise Alabang, that even though nag renovate sila, the feeling of getting most out of your money, of being a wise shopper is still there kase yung mga promos and good deals are still displayed at the center na mas madali makita.

Even after renovation, and its interiors looking classier and more modern than before, Shopwise stays true to their commitment to give an enhanced shopping experience for their shoppers in addition to their best deals and offerings.

Check out the new Shopwise Alabang to see and expereince this for yourself. Don’t forget to download your WiseApp before shopping.

Shopwise Alabang is located at Left Wing, Festival Supermall, Filinvest, Alabang. For promos, discounts and hot items, like and follow Shopwise Facebook Page.

Eden Kicks Off #GiveGoodness on World Pan de Sal Day

Eden recently successfully kicked off their #GiveGoodness campaign at the World Pan de Sal Day. The event took place at the Kamuning Bakery Café, where the brand participated in giving away hundreds of Eden goodie bags to all the guests and the community together with the 50,000 pieces of pan de Sal breads.

Can the common, traditional pan de Sal spark conversations on helping shed light on hunger alleviation as well as heritage preservation? Eden thinks so as it joins World Pan de Sal Day this year.

World Pan de Sal Day falls on 16 October, which is actually World Bread Day. As a tribute to Filipinos’ daily bread, World Pan de Sal Day was launched in 2015 by the heritage and artisanal Kamuning Bakery Café, famous for its breads cooked in a traditional pugon or stone oven. Although destroyed by fire last February 2018, the 79-year-old neighborhood bakery will have its partial reopening also on 16 October 2018.

As a kick-off to its #givegoodness campaign, Eden joins in the giving as the sole sponsor of cheese bread fill that will be partnered with the 50,000 pieces of pan de sal that will be prepared and given on that day to some of Metro Manila’s urban poor families, Quezon City residents, public school teachers and students, and others.

Living out its mission, Eden and its #givegoodness progam will motivate communities to give goodness because Eden is all about bringing families and people together.

World Pan de Sal Day actually showcases how countless Filipinos start their day with creamy, rich cheese paired with hot pan de sal.  It’s an iconic pairing that is part of most Filipinos’ lives. It’s part and parcel of our food heritage as Pinoys. Anna Sapitan is the Category Manager for Meals of Mondelez Philippines, the maker of Eden Cheese. Sapitan says of the event “Just like Kamuning Bakery Café, we believe that serving Pan de Sal with Cheese in the morning is very iconic and a long-standing Filipino tradition, and very much part of our culture. Furthermore, a serving of Pan de Sal with cheese is not only affordable for Filipino families but also helps provide much-needed energy, vitamins, and minerals for our consumers. It’s also a convenient breakfast, easy to prepare and full of goodness for Filipinos’ increasingly busy lives.”

Wilson Lee Flores, owner of Kamuning Bakery Café, considers “World Pan de Sal Day as a unique socio-civic and cultural endeavor to highlight the importance of the Philippines’ humble yet popular pan de sal bread, and to underscore the importance of all of us helping solve the age-old problem of hunger.”

Eden proudly supports this undertaking as it is not only about helping the local community but also symbolizes its commitment to the collective purpose of paying goodness forward.

The Right Way to Deal with Troublesome Teenage Angst

Let’s face it, teens are oftentimes rude, lazy, and pretty much strange. You might think that it’s solely their fault, but perhaps that’s just teen angst at work, which turns a bright-eyed little child into a hormonal wreck. It can be a sight to be seen, especially if it’s your first time witnessing such a spectacle.

And we’ve all been there – it’s normal. Teen angst is not depression, which requires professional help. Teen angst is a natural symptom of the growing process. People between the age of 10 and 20 go through this gruelling ordeal. Hormone changes occur and make the pressures of life and school harder to bear.

If your child is coming to an age where he or she is suffering from teen angst, you can make use of the tips in this article to assist.

Moodiness
Teen angst makes a short-tempered and emotional individual because of the range of different new hormones coursing their growing bodies and forming their identities. These raging hormones can make them lash out without thinking.

You can help by just being patient and understanding that when they lash out, it’s not personal. Try not to engage too deeply with your angst-ridden teen. The more you press in, the more guarded they can become until collapsing emotionally into fits of tears and anger. Tread lightly with punishments, but stand your ground.

Risk seeking
You might notice that your teen is taking more risks lately or talking about risky behaviour. There’s a good chance they are planning some thrilling or controversial act, which is why you should always keep lines of communication open to help them when dealing with these thoughts.

It’s possible that you can make them see the wrongs in their choices. If they knew the truth behind the action and their behaviour, it’s possible that they would think twice.

Rudeness
This is a necessary albeit a hurtful trait of angsty teens. Being rude is typically targeted toward parents and siblings and is a form of growth. Being rude is their way of keeping a connection with their families while starting to show their desire for independence. This means that they are trying to see what it’s like to be independent without actually being on their own.
It can be hard to take their rudeness, so reprimand them about their attitude letting them know such behaviour will not be tolerated. They might do it again, but it’s crucial that they know who is ultimately in charge.

Enrol them to a good school
Your teen’s school environment shapes his or her attitude towards everything. Because they will spend a bulk of their lives at school, it makes sense to choose a school where they can develop good attitude, academics, and thrive as a responsible human.

With many different options out there, it can be very tough to choose the right one. The safest and most practical choice is to enrol them in an international secondary school like One World International School (OWIS), particularly if your finances allow it or if you’re an expat whose family needs to adjust in the new environment.

International schools have a penchant for effectively taming teen angst through the relaxed environment, balanced curriculums, exciting activities and programs, coupled with diverse students from different backgrounds and top-notch educators. Make sure to include it in your consideration.

Always look for opportunities to connect. Fewer connections are normal as they grow into their own since they’re leaving childhood and entering adulthood. This may seem hard to take, but making connections keeps you in the loop. Just love them unconditionally and be there for them.
