Keeping My Kids Healthy This Christmas Season

And it’s been a month since we moved here.. a month already?!? Ang bilis ng araw! And though I am not quite settled yet in this mansion (mansyon mansyonan lang no), the kids are all adjusted na! Lately, they have been busy biking and active play. They have the whole block to run eh.. wala pa kameng kapitbahay kase.

Busy ang mga bagets.. which makes me worry sometimes. Ang aga na kase nila nagigising since we moved here, tapos sobrang active pa. Nag woworry ako na baka hindi maka keep up ang body nila sa activities nila, specially this this season, magbabakasyon pa.

So how to keep the kids healthy this Christmas season?

  • Provide them with the right food.

Mahirap mamilit ng bata di ba? Specially if they don’t like the food. In terms of veggies, I always take the lead (kahit ako kumakain ng gulay). I eat veggies in front of them to encourage them to eat vegetables too. In terms of junk food, I explain to them how our digestive system works and why there are kinds of food that is bad for their body. They always believe naman what I say and I make sure din naman na whatever I say is true.

TIP: Since it’s Christmas season na, medyo mura na ang grapes, oranges and apples. Be creative with these fruits. Mag imbento ka!

  •  Establish a sleeping pattern

Sleep is very important for the kids. And they all need 8 to 10 hours of sleep a day. Mahirap man, specially with my tween boys, I make it a point na nakakatulog sila everyday ng at least 8 hours.

  • Give at least 2 glasses of Milk everyday

Our pedia also stressed the need for them to drink Milk at least 2 glasses a day. Milk is a good source of calcium and it is needed by the body for strong bones.

Good thing my kids are not picky eaters anymore at madali na maka intindi when things are explained to them scientifically.

  • Supplement their diet with Vitamins

I realized that with their activities, hindi lang Vitamin C ang kailangan ng katawan nila. I checked with their Pedia and I was advised on giving them vitamin supplements that also provides Iron and B Complex. I read from an article that kids need 6 kinds of vitamins: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Calcium, Vitamin B and Iron.

I give my kids Ferlin for their Iron dahil ever since, ito na talaga yung gamit namin. Hiyang ang mga bata at talagang effective naman. Nakikita ko na masigla sila, malakas ang mga buto-buto at walang problema sa dugo.

Ceelin naman is what I give my kids for their Vitamin C supplement. They love the taste at syempre, it does wonders din!

And now, mas bongga na becauase buying vitamins for my kids is more convenient. You know naman how it is with my pregnancy. It’s challenging specially physically kaya I’m always for convinient and online buying helps me lighten the load of my mommy duties. Happy to share with you that you can buy all these vitamins at 30% of from  www.heymom.com.ph.

Now, in terms of health, we are ready for Christmas!

Cebuana Lhuillier Launches One-Stop Website For 24/7 Access To Everything #CebuanaLhuillier

When I say Cebuana Lhuillier is the most trusted pawning (and the number 1) here in the Philippines, wala namang kokontra di ba? They have been in the industry for as long as I can remember. Bata pa lang ako naririnig ko na ang Cebuana. But since the first Manila branch opened in Pasay, Cebuana Lhuillier has evolved into something bigger than a pawnshop. Now, Cebuana Lhuillier is known for its top notch service when it comes to financial solution. Sabi ni Cardo (este Coco Martin), “Basta Pera, ipa Cebuana.”

And to serve more Filipinos and give them 24/7 access to financial solutions, Cebuana Lhuillier consolidates all their brand products and service in one website.

The enhanced Cebuana Lhuillier website (www.cebuanalhuillier.com) contains the following services from Cebuana:

Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop

Cebuana Lhuillier Pera Padala

Cebuana Lhuillier Microinsurance

Cebuana Lhuillier Bank

Aside from the services, the new website also contains information on PJ Lhuillier, Inc., the mother company of Cebuana Lhuillier brands. The site also contains with links and a log in page connecting to the Cebuana Lhuillier 24K Plus online portal and dedicated section for corporate accounts.

Another Key feature of Cebuana Lhuillier website are:

Cebuana Lhuillier Branch Locator

It does not only shows the branches location but also shows the Cebuana Lhuillier branch nearest you. It also shows the lists of of Cebuana Lhuillier partners for international remittance.

Knowledge Base

Instead of a regular FAQs section, the new Cebuana Lhuillier website has a knowledge base equipped with its own engine os it’s easier for costumers to look for the articles that address their concerns.

Mobile Optimized

The new website is responsive and easy to navigate  using mobile device.

Shortcut Menu

As you open the website, a shortcut menu appears making navigation really easy for users. This feature has been added to assist Cebuana Lhuillier clients with their concerns with less clicks and a shorter amount of time.

Cubuana Lhuiller App Center

The app center is a special part of the website that provides links to Cebuana Lhuillier’s online applications:

  • Cebuana Lhuillier App– a mobile app for Cebuana Lhuillier 24KOnline features.
  • MicroPINOY– the first microinsurance mobile app that allows users to browse the Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance products. It also allows clients to get customized insurance quotations online.
  • Cebuana Maze– a puzzle game that features Ninong Ceb, the mascot of the  Philippines’ leading miccrofinancial and business to business solutions partner. To play the game, you need to help Ninong Ceb get through mazes to find Cebuana Lhuillier branches in different parts of the country.

Upcoming features of the new Cebuana Lhuillier website:

Cheap Calls To Philippines Using Libon

My youngest sister has been living in the UK for more than a year now. She moved there to be with her husband. They are planning to bring their only son to the UK next year.. To say we miss her terribly is an understatement. Last Christmas, we spent our first without her. We miss her laughs, doing crazy antics with her and all the things we shared with her. This Christmas will be our 2nd without her. We still miss her that much but thanks to smartphone applications for communication, we’re chatting with her more often.

Why my sister who lives in UK chose application to call back home?

Communication application for smartphones are the cheapest alternative for calling your loved ones at home when you’re living in a different country. It’s basically free! All you need to do is download an app and call anyone, anywhere, and anytime without the long distance/ international expensive call fees.

And when it comes to mobile apps for communication, my sister recommends Libon. It’s an application for Android and Apple Smartphone. You can download it for free on Google Play or AppStore. Libon is developed by Orange, the biggest telecom operator in France.
Libon provides very cheap calls, chat and voicemail applications.

Calls from Libon to Libon is always FREE. All you need to do is download the Libon App in AppStore or download the Libon App in Google Play, ask your relatives to download it too so you can enjoy cheap calls anytime, anywhere!

Aside from the free call using Libon to Libon, my sister really loves this app because she can make very cheap calls to the Philippines. As I have mentioned, her son is still here and they uses Libon international call when her son is not online. Yes, Libon can call to any Globe or TM number here in the Philippines! And the pricing is really cheap, I tell you! Libon calls to Philippines pricing is as low as 90 cents (Philippines Pesos) or 2 cents (US Dollar).

The rate is less than 1 Philippine Pesos per minute! No wonder my sister has been calling us almost everyday!

Want to call your love ones as much as you can like my sister does? Or Are you missing someone from abroad? Or missing someone here in the Philippines? Call them using Libon!

No credit on your Libon account? Don’t fret! I am giving away 10 Libon gifts pack which includes 1000 minute* free calls (worth €19.99)

Just tell me on the comment section who are the person you are missing (and wants to call) the most this Holiday!

I am going to choose winners before the year ends and winners will get their Libon credits on January.

*Subject to the country of residence the minutes may vary slightly
