Amidst technology, the new discoveries and trends in products that promote easy and convenient living and instant results, she chooses to go back-to-basics, choosing natural products, lessening the use of toxic chemicals and elements, she recycles and upcycles, and makes careful purchasing decisions to decrease her family’s carbon footprint,
Are you a FIT MOM?
The modern mom is health conscious, she wants to be in the best shape possible, not only so she can care for her family better but also for herself, so that she is physically able to live better, reach her goals and dreams, and bec she values herself.
Are you a MOMPRENEUR?
She’s one who has her cake and will eat it too. She balances raising her kids with building and running a business. She finds fulfillment in being able to contribute to the family income, while feeding her passions and using her talents and skills in her business.
Are you an modern BELLY BLESSED mom-to-be?
The expectant mom of today, we’d like to call Belly blessed. She is in touch with her body, she is an informed mom-to-be, often with an equally active and involved partner. She has knowledge and products at her fingertips and she uses this for her own and her coming baby’s benefit.
Are you a TECHIE MOM?
We must admit, she’s the most “prevalent” type of our modern mom personas. She loves technology and gadgets, and uses these to enhance her life. She takes advantage of technology to allow her to maximize her time, she uses it to be in touch, she uses it to fulfill multiple roles with the least effort and least time. And she uses it to be in the know.
Are you a HANDS-ON MOM?
The hands-on mom wants to be intimately involved in every facet of her child’s life. She is an active, ever-present parent.
Are you a BREASTFEEDING MOM?
More and more moms now choose to breastfeed because they know breastmilk is truly the best and that making breastmilk is our very own “superpower”. Armed with information and support, she is a committed nursing mom, inspite of all the challenges that go with breastfeeding.
Are you a BABYWEARING MOM?
The sling wearing mom-of-today is a sight to behold. She carries her baby wherever she goes, with confidence and with ease. She chooses to babywear not only for the convenience but also because she believes in the benefits of attachment parenting.

And if you ask me, I would say, trying to be an Earth-loving mom with my no plastic policy, we don’ use plastic bags as much as possible, even when buying meat and fish, we always bring reusable wares and ecobags.

I am also a bit of a techie mom (with more than 10 blogs, I think I’m a bit techie), a breastfeeding mom (all my kids are breastfed exclusively for at least a year), baby wearing mom (although I only wear my 3rd and 4th babies) but most of all I am a HANDS-ON MOM. I just have to be involve in everything my kids do.. yes, I am a stage mom at some point (or points?haha). It just came natural, when I choose to be a stay at home, I promised to be there, to be always there for my kids. I am so hands on that even the alphabet chart that we use is a hand made (as well as their Christmas socks, their Halloween costumes, their party favors and if I can, I will even bake and design their own cake).. that’s normal right? hands-on.. very much!

10 Practical Ways To Be Green

Being green is my advocacy. It started when the flood hit us. It was shocking but I know it was also our fault. From then on, I stopped using plastic and encourage everyone to do so by giving away reusable bags. Now I want to reach to more people and help in making our planet a better place to live.

Here are 10 Practical Ways To Be Green

Old clothes can be turned into rugs. You don’t have to buy rugs, just use scissors and tear your old clothes to the size of the rug that you need.
Do not throw plastic bottles, you can sell it on junkyards or make use of it. Here, I use old plastic bottles as my seedlings pot.
For your house cleaning needs, such as carpet cleaning, hire organic cleaners such nj carpet cleaner.
Reuse old papers. Like what I did, some press release I have here were turned into loot bags, perfect for birthdays!
Use ecobag/ reusable bags instead of using plastic bags.
Buy eco-friendly and green products.
On summer days, instead of using the dryer in full, use it only half or not use it all, let the natural heat from the sun dry your clothes.
Shop online. Yes! it’s another way to be green. Shopping online means you don’t have to leave the house, no need to take the car and no need to use plastic.
Make use of appliances wisely, specially air condition, fan and lights.
Keep and collect (do not throw) old newspaper as this can be sold on junkyards.
