What is Unilab Ideas Positive?

Unilab Ideas Positive is a social marketing clinic and competition-in-one, provides a venue for college students to share their innovative and sustainable ideas to address the health and wellness concerns of their communities—and turn those ideas into reality.

How Unilab Ideas Positive can help the youth in turning their ideas into concrete health and wellness programs for their communities?

Unilab Ideas Positive provides them with:

•a 3-day social marketing boot camp, where they learn and understand social marketing approaches from a pool of experts using current and relevant social marketing practices and case studies, and

•a seed money so they can implement their social marketing programs within six months.

Now on its third year, Unilab Ideas Positive gets even better with a focus not only on positive ideas, but also on positive outcomes—creating a difference where it matters, in partnership with the Filipino youth.

Last year there were 56 entries from over 20 schools in NCR, Camanava, and Calabarzon.. this year, Unilab Ideas Positive is expanding from Metro Manila to the entire Philippines, covering North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Now, more students will be able to turn their social marketing ideas into a health and wellness program for their community. Fifteen (15) teams will each be given Php100,000 seed money from Unilab Foundation for the implementation of social marketing programs—a total of Php1.5 million seed money.

Indeed, it’s an even more exciting Unilab Ideas Positive this year with bigger prizes at stake. But more than the prizes, it’s the opportunity to come together for a shared goal of a healthier nation that makes Unilab Ideas Positive a rewarding venue for the Filipino youth to make a significant contribution where it is needed most.

The Search Is Over: Susy and Geno Reunion!

Susy is back but her partner Geno is missing!

And Susy was out to find her onscreen partner.. she set up a Help Susy Find Geno FB page.. where any information that may lead to finidng Geno can be posted.. and after a few weeks.. the two is back on each other’s arm!

It was around 4 PM in Market Market when suddenly, the activity are was filled with excitement when finally Susy and Geno meet. Fans and Supporters of the Susy and Geno were there holding their placards and showing how happy they are that finally the two were back!

Max’s Heartwarming Flavors for Lent

The Len season is observed here in the country by fasting, cutting back on meat and poultry and eating simple dishes..Max’s of course will always be there to provide us good food even during the Lent season. So here’s a set of dishes that’s perfect for this season:

Cauliflower Puffs (160 PhP).. if you are not a cauliflower fan, this dish will make you one. The puff is so perfect that it was too late t realized that it was a cauliflower.

Adobong Kangkong stuffed tofu (150 PhP).. I love tofu and this dish is my favorite among the three. I love how the flavor of the mushroom and the kangkong leaves was absorbed inside the tofu.

Sizzling seafood with honey bagoong sauce (265 PhP) is a winner too. The sauce was a mix of sweet and salty..perfect with a cup of rice and an ice cold cola.

Max’s Sizzling Seafood in Honey Bagoong Sauce is a harmony of breaded cream dory, shrimps and squid rings that are deep-fried until light, golden brown, sprinkled with julienned red bell peppers and chopped spring onions, and splashed with a special sauce that brings together sweet honey and piquant bagoong. Max’s Adobong Kangkong Stuffed Tofu is an inventive and mouthwatering twist to the quintessential adobo. Fresh kangkong leaves, shiitake and button mushrooms drizzled in sweet adobo sauce stuffed in deep-fried tofu blocks. The harmony of greens and earthy colors lend a refreshing vibe that appeals to both vegetable and non-vegetable eaters.

Max’s Cauliflower Puffs is the perfect dish for very picky young diners and self-confessed meat-lovers. Crisp cauliflowers are dipped in a special batter, deep-fried and tossed in a special sauce. Fun and vibrant colors of finely sliced carrots and spring onions also brighten up the plate. Every crunchy bite of this palatable dish makes diners forget that they are actually eating cauliflowers!
