Milk Drinker Now

I love coffee, and I cannot last a morning without it. Last week, I cut back my coffee consumption because am getting fatter. You see, I love coffee when it is filled with cream and lots of sugar. In fact my body got accustomed to the sugar content I am taking that during the first few days I drink less coffee, my body is craving for sugar. I had to drink soda everyday to keep with my sugar consumption.

Now, I only drink coffee once a day, compared to my usual consumption which is three cups a day. And it means less sugar consumption, less fats on my belly, in a few more months. I can start shopping for dereon. My coffee routine in the morning is now milk routine. That is something I am proud of. I am not a milk drinker but thanks to Anchor, they gave me an idea on how I can love milk more. And also thanks to Fedhz, because in a way she influenced me to love milk, even if it means I have to bring baby wipes with me always.

Why Me.

A lot of people are asking me why I do most of the household chores here.I have two helpers but I do the laundry and I am the one who cook our dishes. I am also the one who take care of the kids and prepare them to school. Most people wonders what my helpers are doing. Actually, a lot. They wash the dishes, watch over the two youngest while I prepare the boys to school. They two little stuffs. Those little stuffs like cleaning the mess the kids did or like tidying the table after we eat.

Aside from that, I insist that I do the laundry so that I still have something else to do beside sitting here and doing my online job. In a way, doing the laundry keeps my body a bit fit. I am still on the look out for diets that work, and exercise that can keep up with my busy life, so doing the laundry is my only exerciser for now. I cook because my hubby is so articulate when it comes to dishes.

Anchor Institute Nutrition Clinic

Still from the first anniversary of ParenTin TV, one of the booths in the event is from Anchor Institute and they offer a free check up for the kids. Their Anchor Institute Body Analyser is heaven sent to me. I was able to know what kind of foods my kids need. The following texts you will read are taken from the result paper the nutritionist gave us:

Body Composition Analysis
Body weight is made up of 4 components; body water, protein, mineral and fat. The balance of these components is important. The Anchor Body Analyser will determine the amount of water, fat, muscle and mineral in your child’s body.

What Measures Are Used?

Body Weight
Body weight is the total body weight of your child. The results printout will indicate whether your child’s body weight is ‘low’, ‘normal’ or ‘over’ as compared to a normal range from a reference population matched for the age and gender of your child. Body weight is a useful screening tool to identify possible weight problems.

Muscle Mass
Muscle mass is the total amount of lean muscle in the body of your child. Children can build healthy muscles through a healthy diet and an appropriate amount of exercise.

Body Fat Mass
Body Fat Mass is the total amount of body fat tissue in the body of your child. Everybody needs to have a healthy diet and plenty of exercise to help maintain a healthy level of body fat.

Mineral
Mineral is the estimated total amount of mineral content in the body of your child. Most of the mineral content in the body is found in bones. Milk is one of nature’s best sources of many of the nutrients that children need to grow strong bones, including calcium and magnesium.

Total Body Water
Total Body Water is the total calculated amount of water in the body of your child.

Segmental Lean Evaluation
This measure evaluates the amount of muscle in each of the five segments of the body (arms, legs and torso)

Segmental Fat Evaluation
This measure evaluates the amount of fat in each of the five segments of the body (arms, legs and torso)

The kids stand for a minute or two on the analyser and then the nutritionist discuss with me the Body Analyser Result. It was really a big help to me specially to my first born since his body composition is below average. And he listened well on the nutritionist. It’s a good thing that Anchor provided fresh milk for us and the boys loved it! So now, we are ANCHOR milk lovers!
