Smoking has been a part of me. I used to smoke back in the 90’s and up to early 2000. I started smoking when I was in my freshman year in college. It was something that I did out of curiosity. Some thinks it was peer pressure. Maybe the fact that one of friend is smoking too, gives me the encouragement to smoke more. We never head of Electronic cigarette back then. We smoked plain cigarettes. It was hard to last a day without smoking 10 or more sticks. Smoking has been my best friend. It took all my worries away. I was more confident to walk in the middle of the crowd. Smoking gave me something to do when I am bored. And more often than not, I can consume 20 sticks a day. There was a time where my breakfast was 2 sticks and a cup of coffee.

Now that I am a mother, I already quit smoking. It was not that easy. But I wish I had known E cigarette back then. They say that electronic cigarettes can help in quitting (not sure with the info though). I quit when I learned I was pregnant with my first child. And then when I learned that my youngest sister was pregnant at 17, I smoked again. Then quit again when I learned I was pregnant with my third son. And started again last February 2009. Then I got pregnant again. Now if ever, smoking crossed my mind, I just remind myself that in order to quit, I have to be pregnant again, something that I can never afford to be again.
