Mommy Moments: Congressman

Happy Friday fellow Mommies! Another exciting weekender for us. It’s Mommy Moments day! This week it’s all about costume or formal clothes.

I am in luck because just last week, their school had a program for the celebration of Linggo ng Wika. My first born together with some of his classmates perform the acrostic of Buwan ng Wika. The one above is my second boy. They are suppose to dress up as national heroes, he being Apolinario Mabini. Does he look like Apo? Some of the comments I heard from the audience was he really look liked one because of his rather big forehead. Apolinario Mabini was the brain behind the revolution, and him having a rather big forehead was thought to be as brainy as Apo. I beg to disagree guys, my boy is brainier than Apo.

LP: Lakad

Happy Thursday fellow LP participants! This week’s theme is walk. This one is from our trip with our college friend and their kids in San Juan, La Union. It so happens that a relative lives nearby the resort we rented. We walked along South China Sea shore to visit my relatives and give the kids a taste of life in the province. Amidst the half kilometer walk they had to endure, the kids had fun on the way collecting shells and catching small crabs. They also had fun playing with the roosters and playing with the water pump.

Maligayang Huwebes mga ka LP! Sa linggong ito, ang lahat ay tungkol sa lakad o lakwatsa o simpleng lakad lang. Ang litrato sa ibabaw ay kuha mula sa lakwatsa namin kasama ang aming mga kaibigan at ang kanilang mga anak. Ito ay kuha sa San Juan, La Union. Mayroon pa lang kamag anak ang aking mudra (nanay) malapit sa resort na tinuluyan namin. Kaya’t eto, umagang umaga ay naglakad kame sa dalampisagan para maki almusal at ng maranasan at makita ng mga bata ang buhay probinsya. At kahit na medyo malayo an gaming nilakad, talaga naman nasiyahan ang mga bata sa pagkuha ng mga bato at panghuhuli (na ayaw pahuli, dahil ba sila ay mapanghi?) ng mga maliliit na alimango. Natuwa din silang makipaglaro sa mga manok at paglaruan ang poso o bomba.

TCP: The Lake House

My second week at Tuesday Couch Potato. This week is all about Sandra Bullock films! I chose The Lake House simply because it’s the only Sandra Bullock film I can think of. If it’s a Julia Roberts film, for sure, I would have a hard time choosing which one is my fave.

The Lake House is a story of two people who lived on the same house but on different time. It has a fantasy feel to it and a touch of drama. The two communicates through a mailbox in the house. Through their letters, their love grew and together they discovered a way to bridge their gap. They set up a date to meet up, the guy did not showed up. Years later, the girl discovered that the guy had an accident (and died) on the same day they are suppose to meet. Knowing what’s about to happen, she warned the guy and they waited until they can meet again.
