CEO as in chief executive officer, of her household! Krisna is a a wife to her one and only Macho Gwapito named Morris and a feeling super mom to her daughter, Yzia. She confessed that she used to blog before as a way to express her angst, believing that blogging is only for lonely people. She deleted her old blog sites and started a new one that tells the story of her life as a mom and a struggling housewife. “I have an ugly relationship with the household chores that made me believe that I’m a wife from hell and believe me… I am trying my best to work it out.”

Krisna a very hands on mom, that is why, just the thought of missing a PTA meeting in the future can kill her. “I don’t want to go back to the corporate world anymore. My daughter and my desire to be with her anytime she needs me made me decide to start a business on my own,” she shared.

The 7th of October Party, a party management business, is all about happy and satisfied clients. Krisna said, she wants to help her clients create a memory.

Aside from the party business, Krisna also owns Tooth Fairy Desserts. They make and sell very special chocolate coated Graham Balls with filling. Our best sellers are the ones with Nutella and Cheese and fillings.

Like any start ups, Krisna was worried that people won’t patronize their services and products but she quickly dismissed the though by remembering the reason why she started the business, for her daughter Y.

And because planning and organizing a party makes her happy, she believes that starting up The 7th of October Party is a right decision.

Yes, Serene is a registered nurse and she’s not only good on taking care of your health, but she’s also known for making your aching tummy, happy through her sweet kitchen business, Leigh’s Treats.

• Products: Mostly pastries, her best sellers are Red velvet crinkles with cream cheese filling
  and mini smores

Serene confessed that she loves pastries and spends a lot on it every week. With her sugar worries, specially for her kids (she really is a nurse!), she started baking to control the amount of sugar on the pastries. It was when “somehow” her hubby’s tummy was satisfied (I am guessing her husband’s tummy is very very picky!) that she was encouraged to turn it into a business. Hence, Leigh’s Treats was bron, which according to her is a portion of both of my her kids’ name. Since the inspiration to start baking came from giving the best for her kids, it is only apt that her business was named after them.

Serene is also a partner at Sophistique Collection (www.facebook.com/SophistiqueCollection) . A joint venture with her sister whom also shares the love for fashion with her (aside from love of pastries).

One of her initial worries when starting the sweet business is not being successful but since she love what she’s doing, she knew she made the right decision of selling sweet treats.
