You have to watch the video to believe!

Kaya naman pala when we give a certain brand to our kids, ayaw inumin! Jusmeeee!

But even with the Best Tasting Paracetamol For Kids, mahirap pa din painumin ng gamot ang baby! Here are some tips:

Tried and Tested Tips Para Madali Mapainom ng Gamot Ang Baby

Use a syringe instead of spoon or measuring cup. Fastest to put the tip of the syringe inside their mouth and fastest to dispense the meds too! Ito talaga ang pinaka effective ever.

Keep the meds cold. Advice sa amin ng pedia yan. Mas masarap daw ang gamot pag malamig siya. So every after intake, ilagay sa ref ang gamot. Of course shake well bago magpainom.

Don’t let the kid rest. This is quite controversial but so far effective ito. Pag sumuka ang bata, sabi nila, let them rest muna and then try again. HINDI EFFECTIVE! Pag nagsuka, painumin nyo ulit agad, they just need to know na importante yun at kahit anong gawin nila, umiyak man sila or sumuka, they need to take the meds. After 2 trials, magpapakabait na yan sa medicine.

Be kind to yourself. Wag ka mainis because it is not your fault. Huwag mo na sisihin ang sarili kung bakit nagkasakit ang bata at umabot kayo sa ganyang situation. Focus on giving the meds.

Now that you know what is the Best Tasting Paracetamol For Kids, ano na papainom nyo sa mga anak ninyo?

How To Handle Toddler Tantrums

How To Handle Toddler Tantrums? But first, you need to know that Tantrums for toddlers is OK. It’s how they express their frustrations over something, specially for toddlers who have a hard time speaking. Sometimes we think it is our fault or that they are doing it to stress us out. I must tell you that they don’t. They are not showing tantrums to intentionally hurt us. It’s a natural reaction for their age.

How to handle a tantrums? here’s a video of our baby showing tantrums and how I handled it:

How To Handle Toddler Tantrums

How To Handle Toddler Tantrums: 5 Simple Ways:

1. Keep a cool head. That’s number 1 rule. Do not over think and over analyze the situation. You have to know that your toddler does not know how tired you are to listen to you right away. Learn to keep cool and listen to what he or she is trying to say.

2. Give him a choice or distract him

Here is an example about giving them a choice: a toddler who does not want to take a bath, ask them if they want to play after taking a bath or before taking a bath. In that case, they would that you are not forcing them but is giving them a choice.

How To Handle Toddler Tantrums

Do not ask why he is crying. At the height of their emotions, sometimes they even forgot the very reason whey it all started. Instead of asking them why they are crying or asking them to stop crying, distract them. Ask them a few questions that interests them.

3. Do not punish and this is most important during the time the toddler is showing tantrums. As mentioned, a toddler tantrums is very natural and it is something that cannot be controlled by the toddler itself. Do not punish the child for something that he cannot control.

How to prevent toddler tantrums?

Is there really a way to prevent a tantrums before it even happen? There are some ways if you would just open your eyes and try to understand your toddler’s needs. Ask yourself too what makes you unhappy sometimes? Some of the basics that may lead to frustration are hunger and tiredness.

Kids are very prone to throwing tantrums when they are hungry or tired and when both are present, you would expect a cry marathon. Work on a schedule to balance their 3 basic needs, food, rest, and sleep.

Toddler Tantrums: When To Worry

Toddler tantrums but is there a time to worry? Actually, there are cases that a tantrum is no longer normal and needs professional intervention. Here are some signs on when to worry:

  • Self injury. There are times that the child would attempt themselves but if this is happening more often when they show tantrums, you might want to brought this up with your pedia.
  • Hurting the mom or the caregiver. Although it happens sometimes, specially when they want something that you won’t give, it is a red flag if it is happening 90% of the time.
  • Very often and long tantrums. Tantrums usually last for 5-10 minutes but if it lasts 30 minutes and up and is always the case, that’s a red flag too. A child may cry out for an hour but the next tantrums usually last for just 5 minutes. If your child usual tantrums lasts for more than 30 minutes most of the times, discuss it with your pedia so they can refer you to a child psychologist.

Do Not Let The Baby Cry- 5 Disadvantages Of Letting The Baby Cry

When I first had a baby, a lot of people mentioned that I should let it cry, specially in the mornings. Crying is good for the lungs according to old wives’ tale. After 3 kids, I’ve learned my lesson well. Lungs and crying may be connected but the disadvantage outweighs the benefits. Also, there are other ways to make your baby’s lungs stronger other than crying.

The old saying goes that when you don’t let the baby cry, they will grow up to be a spoiled baby. It can be true specially if you always give in to what the baby wants. But you pacify them without giving what they want. You can talk them as they cry giving them the solution for what seems to be the problem. Or you can carry them as they cry while you try to explain why it is not OK to eat chocolates at night. Or you can just hug them, for us, I find giving my breast seems to work all the time.

Here are 5 reasons why you should not let your baby cry:

Letting the baby cry can lead to a frustrated kid. Letting the baby cry can be very traumatizing to your kid. They maybe a baby but their emotional needs as as big as those of the adults, even bigger actually. And they don’t fully understand what frustrations is all about. How to handle it and what needs to be done to make them feel better. Letting them cry just worsens the situation. It can lead to them being frustrated all the time. Instead of letting them cry, show them how to deal with their frustrations. Is it about the car that won’t start, show them how it works. Give them a solution and not a cold face.

Letting the baby cry can be be damaging to the developing brains of the baby. Neurobiologists say high levels of stress hormone cortisol are ‘toxic’ to the developing brain, according to Penelope Leach.

Letting the baby cry alters the mood of the parents. Admit it moms, crying baby is the worst thing to hear any day. It can easily change your mood into a grumpy old woman. Why the need to lengthen that stage? It eats you up right? The things you need to do but the baby is crying at the background. Stop whatever you are doing and fetch your baby. The human touch can make your baby feel better and yours too.

Letting the baby can also affect older siblings. The frustrations from the baby’s cry is reverberate around the house. This can be felt that just by the baby but almost everyone inside the house. If you have older kids, crying baby can affect their moods, their study habits and at night can also affect their sleep.

Letting the baby cry can lead to baby having low self esteem and trust issues. Trust me on this one. This is from my own experience. I let my 3rd son cry when he was a year old. Thinking all the theories about letting the baby cry correct. I was thinking he would learn how to pacify himself and that he would be more independent. The opposite happened, he was the clingiest amongst all my kids. He was so shy when he was in pre school and he cries a lot. He also have trust issues back then and though we were able to correct it, still it is manifested from time to time. Up to this day, I feel guilty because I let him cry when he was a baby. So moms, I am appealing all to you, DO NOT LET YOUR BABY CRY!
