Children’s Day Celebration in School Essay

Children’s Day is one of the official occasions to demonstrate love and care to the children of the entire world. This holiday appeared after World War 2 under the influence of The United Nations. The 20th of November is the date of the international Children’s Day. The idea of the holiday is based on the attraction of attention to the protection of children’s rights. People should understand that millions of children have to work hard to support their living.

Furthermore, many children are the victims and participants of military conflicts. Millions of children are deprived of their childhood. They have to face the problems of the adult world at an early age. Every country has chosen its own date of Children’s Day. Every country has its peculiar style of celebration. However, there is hardly a country in the world that celebrates this holiday more splendidly than India does. Therefore, the 14th of November is connected with Children’s Day in India. How do they celebrate it? Why is this holiday so important?

Children’s Day in India is mostly connected with the name of the first Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. This personality is known to love and respect children. Nowadays we have got used to the idea that children are the most important members of our society. Years ago, very few people thought in this way. More than fifty years ago, India was quite a poor state with its specific problems and challenges. Without question, children suffered most of all.

Jawaharlal Nehru knew that millions of children lived in poverty and hunger. He could not put up with this fact. It is possible to understand and accept poverty of the grownups but it is difficult to look at the suffering innocent children. Why should little children starve and work hard instead of enjoying themselves and playing with their friends. Millions of children are deprived of education because of their unfavorable financial background. Jawaharlal Nehru emphasized that the future of every country depends on the quality of life of its children.

Without well-educated and happy children it is impossible to build a prosperous state. Thus, the politician decided to improve the social status of children in order to improve the future of India. Weak and poor children will never contribute into the development of strong and rich India. Grownups are responsible for their children. If they give birth to them, they should provide them with the worthy level of life. This position made Jawaharlal Nehru the so-called patron of children in India. In order to commemorate this bright person, Children’s Day became to be celebrated every year on 14th of November. This date is the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru.

The typical celebration of Children’s Day is concentrated on the improvement of children’s mood. Every school and college is decorated with colorful balloons and ribbons. There is music and festive atmosphere everywhere. The decorations are organized by teachers and students who want to make their educational institution beautiful and affable. This holiday is popular in India because children can have fun and communicate with their mates and teachers in the friendly and informal climate. What is more, schools and colleges are open on Children’s Day inasmuch as teachers and senior students organize various special classes to make children interested in education. Children can read, recite poems, dance, sing, draw or paint. In addition, children can demonstrate their intellectual and analytical skills at quizzes and debates devoted to the relevant social and political problems. Some children can take part in sports competitions and fancy dressing.

As you see, children have a chance to become involved into any activity. This means that grownups begin understanding that all children are different. Some of them enjoy sports.

Others are fond of speech making and hot discussions. Some children are inborn artists who like painting or playing musical instruments. In my opinion, such well-organized Children’s Days help children try their skills in different fields of study. For instance, when one studies the exact sciences, he does not have a chance to take part in any debates about social issues in his everyday life. This informal event can help children and senior students pay attention to the alternative activities and academic disciplines. Finally, we should remember that many children do not have time and money to attend school. Thus, they have a chance to have this experience at least once a year.

In conclusion, Children’s Day is a notable holiday in India because it brings joy and happiness to children. Young people can take part in numerous events related to physical and intellectual activity. They can have fun, communicate with friends and teachers and go to picnics trying delicious lunch and sweets of all kinds. This day connects pleasure and education.

10 Things You Need To Know Before Watching Les Misérables Manila

Les Misérables Manila is breathtaking! I have so much to say but I am afraid I might give spoilers. Talaga lang no?!? For a musical that has been playing for more than 30 years, pwede rin pala may spoiler. Pwede talaga.. so I’ll just tell you na it is super sulit!! Mapapagod ang kamay mo kakapalakpak. And to make this post a bit longer, here’s what you need to know before watching the show.. coming from a fan who watched the show on its first run.

10 Things You Need To Know Before Watching Les Misérables Manila

#1 The show is breathtaking but it is OK to breathe.. it is OK if you can’t hold up your sneeze (my boys keep on asking about this eh). Buuuut if you’re not feeling well and you have cough, take something to lessen your coughing.. medyo nakakainis watching with coughing on the background ha. Of course, alam nyo na bawal sumabay kumanta at bawal ding dumaldal.

EDIT: well it seems like not everyone knows it is NOT OK to sing along..

So I’ll include it #1.2 IT IS NOT OK TO SING ALONG!

#2 Clapping is encouraged.. and if you need to ask when you should clap, you would know. Trust me. Your heart will tell you if it is time to clap and if you feel like it’s time, clap with all your heart. And when the show ends, STAND and CLAP  if you feel like doing soo.. but hey, it’s Les Misérables! You SHOULD stand while clapping (and while crying!)

#3 BE ON TIME! The show starts on time and you will only be seated after a certain performance if you’re late. Sayang ticket if you won’t be able to watch the show from the start. Maliit lang ang The Theatre at Solaire kaya hassle at nakakahiya sa ibang manood kung papasok ka ng late. ALSO! hindi ka makakapag picture taking….

#4 Yes, camera is allowed BEFORE the show, during the interval and AFTER the show. Cameras and mobile cameras are not allowed during the show, even while the cast are saying good bye. May katabi kame, he started taking photos of the cast while taking a bow, bawal yun.

#5 Do not leave early. Do not leave at all! LOL Seriously, leave only when the lights is on. Or leave after taking a hundred photos of you and the stage:

Les Miserables Manila

NEVER LEAVE while the show is on! Jusmiyooo! nakakahiya sa mga actors no!

#6 Les Misérables Manila Memorabilia Store. Yes they have one! Yaaaay!!!!!

Mas mura sa UK hahaha

Les Misérables shirts are 1250 PhP each.. may pang bata at pang may pangdalaga! The 24601 shirt is 1500+ (or 1750… argh! I can’t remember!).

Aside from shirts, may Les Misérables ref magnet din (500 PhP), there’s mugs too and an eco bag!!! I wanted to buy the ecobag perooo hindi ko naman pwede i display.. and there is no way that I am going to use the ecobag. Hindi ko ipapamalengke ang mukha ni Cosette no! I opted for this canvass na lang:

#7 What to wear when watching Les Misérables Manila? Wear something nice! From our experience last Friday, most people are wearing smart casual. Bawal ang shorts at pambahay no. My boys were wearing jeans and long sleeves:

And I was wearing a black dress. Bring a coat.. the theater can be cold.

#8 The Age Restriction was there for a reason.. the show runs for more than 2 hours. And the theater is not that big.. Ang hirap no.. ung nasa likod ko na bata tinatadyakan ang likod ng upuan ko. Ang lakas maka istorbo. So don’t bring your kids below 8 years old.

#9 Food are not allowed inside the theater but there’s a place where you can buy around the area… and there’s a food court in Solaire so you can grab dinner before watching the show.

#10 Parking is FREE at Solaire Resort and getting a cab is easy too.

BONUS!

#11 It is ok to watch Les Misérables Manila again and again*! The show is extended until April 24!!! Yaaaay! Book your tickets at Ticketworld now na!

*For me, a true fan should watch the show 3 times:

  1. First show
  2. Gala night
  3. Last show

And I really wish I could that kaso wala akong damit pang Gala Night (which will happen this Wednesday).. I am hoping I can watch the last show on April!!!!

#12 If you’re joining the revolution, Enjolras is raising his right arm and facing front with his head up high. DO NOT commit this mistake:

Ano kayang rebolusyon ang nasalihan ko?!? hahaha

#13 Last na to promise. For photo opps outside, be prepared! Malakas maka Hunger Games ang eksena dito. If I were you, arrive an hour earlier para maka pag photo opps na kayo before the show starts. Huwag mo ng hangarin mag picture taking after the show, mahaba ang pilaaaaaaaa.

On The Wings Of Love Ending

On the wings of love ending will be one of my favorite ending ever. Is it too soon to say that? Hindi naman.. we only have today’s episode and next week’s to judge.. pero obvious naman how it is going to turn. I am pretty sure it’s gonna be Leah and Clark until the end.

It sounds like a typical teleserye ending di ba? Nagkatuluyan ang bida and the end. Maybe, but I love how On the wings of love ending teased us to so many possibilities, 3 weeks before it ended.

On The Wings Of Love EndingOn The Wings Of Love Ending

Remember the first time they show the “Love will lead you back to where it has to End” video? My heart literally breaks at the sight of Simon and Leah together! Ayaw ko ng Lemon no!!! I want Cleaaaaaaaaah!!

There were so many ending speculations on my mind then. Hindi natuloy ang church wedding! What happened? Siguro may namatay sa pamilya  ni Leah and that’s why hindi natuloy ang kasal. She used that to go with Simon in Dubai?!? Tapos nagkatuluyan sila doon? And ano ginagawa nila sa San Francisco? Mag pa file ng divorce si Leah! Si Simon and Leah na talaga!

Or kailangan ng pera ni Tatang Sol? and Leah have all the reasons to go with Simon in Dubai? Tapos nagalit si Clark and ends their relationship tapos nagkatuluyan na si Simon and Leah?

That’s closer to what happened during the last 3 weeks di ba? I didn’t see it coming that the main reason would be Leah’s dream. Ang selfish mo Leah!!! Assuming ka pa! Aalis alis tapos magseselos kay Angela! HMP! Kung alam mo lang!

But as Clark said, all’s well that ends well.

This past few days episode really nailed it! Ang galing galing talaga ni Antoinette Jadaone. She was not tagged as Blockbuster Hugot Director of the Philippines for nothing di ba?

All the while, akala ko tapos na ang mga kilig moments. I was wrong. While watching the past 2 nights episodes, naramdaman ko ulit yung kilig that I felt during the time that OTWOL was just starting. That seldom happens di ba? Kaya sobrang tuwang tuwa at kilig na kilig ako to watch On The Wings of Love ending!

Last week na next week! I am soooo excited how things will turn on for Leah and Clark.. and Simon too!

How about you? OTWOLista ka din ba?
