Entrecard Dropping Buraot Style

Entredropper

When I started a blog, I have no idea what entrecard means. I have seen this card and some of the blogs I hopped in talks about their top droppers, etc.. Dropping cards, top droppers, Entrecard credits, those were new to me. So I signed up on Entrecard and found this one is a good traffic site. When you see the Entrecard widget you drop.. I can’t further explain the goodness of Entrecard but, more or less 25% of my traffic comes from this.

Now if you have seen that twinkling widget on my sidebar, that’s the focus of our discussion now. I found out about Buraot’s EC dropper through Fedhz. It’s easy as pie, you just go click on the site and you will see little boxes with bats on it (hey Buraot loves Batman) and click on the box. Every box have ten tabs on it, with ten site that has an EC widget where you can drop your card on. Dropping 300 cards won’t be a hassle at all. If not for my stupid connection, this is as easy as ten minutes.

So aside from I find this dropper really helpful, I just want to thank Buraot for including me on the list of his drop sites. I am so thankful because as I have said, more or less 25% of my traffic comes from this.

Buraot is a veteran actor.. no? oh but I thought. you were..you have the same name eh.. OK just a joke. Aside from this helpful dropper, he also have other sites that is worth dropping and staying for. My favorite is his Anak ni Kulapo, it never fails to make me laugh.

And he also writes for Barrio Siete, my favorite sietehan at tambayan.

Creating Links While Commenting

This is just being OC and all… if offended.. please hit the x button..I just noticed that a lot of you are not aware that you can build back links while you comment here on on any other blog. How is that possible? Well by leaving a link on your comment. The next time you tell me, you have a new post that is interesting or you want me to check out your entry in our favorite memes, you can try it by leaving here a text (clickable) that is linked to your post. I noticed that most just leave a plain text with the http.. etc..

It’s not doing you any good.. this is an example OK..If a new blogger chanced upon an awesome site and commented saying:
Hey this site is so cool, you might want to check out my post about this subject matter too:
http://socool.blogspot.com/2009/07/check-out-my-site.html

What will the blog owner do? Most likely than not, he would ignore it.. why? who would wanna copy the http, open a tab and paste it? that’s a lot of work eh? What if another blogger chanced upon the awesome site and saw the comment of the socool blogger? Would he have the patience to copy and paste it in another tab? I guess not?

But of course here in my blog, however long your http codes, I am more than willing to open a new tab/s and copy paste your link… but you can make our world a lot simpler and yours a lot better and more back links..

How to? Put an anchor text instead of a plain text…

The anchor text, link label or link title is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink.(source)

(Hypertext REFerence) The HTML code used to create a link to another page. The HREF is an attribute of the anchor tag, which is also used to identify sections within a document. The HREF contains two components: the URL, which is the actual link, and the clickable text that appears on the page, called the “anchor text.”
(source)

How to make one? You have to make a code that starts with href… etc.. ugh! Honestly, even if I am using it for more than 6 months now, I still can’t remember how to make an anchor text, but we can always cheat right? Here’s what I did.. I open my create new post tab, typed in a word, usually the title of my blog, Make or Break.. create a link by clicking the cutey green round on my post dashboard, and typed in the blog address of my blog.. then I clicked on the edit html and copy it in a notepad or somewhere else… It looks like this:

Make or Break

Whenever you want to brag about your post, you just change the url and put the url of your post.. so if I want to comment on you and tell you about my take on Siblings Rivalry.. here it is on its bare html code:

How to Handle Siblings Rivalry
clickable text: How to Handle Siblings Rivalry

So for the sake of comparison, tell me which one is less of a hassle to click?

You Are Inspirational- The Breathing Inspiration

Excited is an understatement. I am more than excited for this meme. I love doing this, reviewing/featuring other people’s blog. Building back links for them and introducing them to your readers. It’s like being the middle man of a friendship that’s about to begin. When I started my review exchange program, Fedhz suggested that I turned it into a meme, but having so much things on my hand, I just can’t find time to do it. So when Chris told me her plans on it, I told her, it’s all on the go.. and here we are on our second week! Click on the badge and check out if your blog has been featured..

award

This week’s theme is the first blog on your list. Whoa! I cracked all my neurons for it..the first person on my blog list is Kaye, but, I already featured her here. I don’t want you to think we have a mutual admiration society (shss, it’s a secret).. and so another cracking up and poops Fedhz.. but again I already mentioned her here.. if I would feature her again (in a span of less than a month) that would confirm your suspicion about our society.LOL

And so I remembered that aside from these two, the first on my list, one of the first friend I had here through this blog is Sara of The Breathing Post (and The Mommy Experience).

I have known Sara through a traffic site and her entries are very welcoming that I can’t help but comment. She talks about everything, from her neighbor to free movie tickets. She is very friendly and always comes back with a nice comment on my blog. She is my frequent visitor and she is the first blogger my husband knew. My husband used to be my troll and he noticed that Sara is always on my comment page, thus the familiarity.

It was really fun knowing her and how she updates us on her pregnancy. She managed to tell us what her baby’s sex name without sabotaging her father in law’s interest on not knowing until she gave birth (her FIL reads her blog too!). And when Cole arrived, she did managed to sneak from time to time and update us with Cole’s recent antics and lessons she learned from it.

And who would not feel the warmth Sara offers? Just look at her and her husband cracking up on their wedding day. It shows a lot about her happy disposition in life. Go on and check her out, she is worth the time!
