Traveling In Blogniverse

One of the best thing that happened to me in terms of blogging is meeting a lot of people and building a relationship with them. There’s the marce club, female bloggers that became friends because of Sati, my baby girl. And there’s the Jason Club (OK, that’s me coining another term, Jason because I call them Marz, sorta like Jason MrAZ, excuse the cheesiness). My blogger friends are all over the world. There’s some from US. There are from other countries too like Japan, Singapore, Dubai and even Thailand.

I have seen a lot of Thailand in the TV and sometimes I dream of visiting the place and staying on the best Hotels in Bangkok. I want to see elephants and I want to experience on riding one. I want to visit Sampran Zoo and watch how crocodiles wrestles. That would really be fun. Aside from visitng the zoo, I also want to buy sweet tamarind in the famous floating market. And of course, I will not miss the famous shore of Pattaya beach.

Pattaya City is located in the bay of the East Coast of the Gulf of Thailand. It is a two hour drive from Bangkok. This has been a fishing village in the 60’s but now, the beach is gaining popularity as one of the best beach destination in Asia. Tourist can relax, unwind and feel the calm wind of the beach. And though our own country has a lot of beach to boast of, discovering new location can really be exciting.

I also want to visit Australia, Hotels in Perth will be a great place to stay. It would be nice to watch a show in Sidney and take a photo of a pelican. Traveling can really be great and I do hope we can travel the places mentioned above with my kids and my family. Also to see my friends I met here in blogniverse.

Crocs ABF@ EK Biki Water World

Saturday (May 29, 2010), under the heat of 2 PM sun, we were traveling down south. In the middle of SLEX, we were greeted by heavy rains, and though it was refreshing to see water, I wish it would stop soon. We were to experience a fun, cool summer courtesy of Crocs.

Enchanted Kingdom Biki World. Crocs let us experienced the never- before ” Almost Bare Foot” freedom with their latest footwear innovation. EK Biki was the perfect place for the launching of this collection. Since this is a water theme park, we are off to being barefoot. And with Crocs ABF, we are able to feel that barefoot feeling without being barefoot at all.

The launch was graced by no other than the owner of Enchanted Kingdom, Ms. Cynthia Mamon. The EK mascot was there too, with the EK princess. The guests were entertained by performances from EK’s in-house dance group, acrobatic group (Nolasco brothers, Pilipinas Got Talent Finalist), and a world class magician (which made my hubby spend nights researching for magic tricks).

And there was a fashion show of the latest from Crocs, the ABF collection, SS10 collection and Kids SS10 collections. (shameless blog site promotion… go on click! click! click! to see my fashion blog)

There was buffet and also some food from Purefoods TJ hotdog. There was a lot of freebies for the guest and they raffled off more than 5 pairs of Crocs (darn, I am so not lucky with random). One winner actually got to take home 6 pairs (6?!? yeah.. 6! I know.. I turned green too). There were also some games, where two groups raced while wearing a crocs. Easy? er, Crocs that is 3 feet long..woot! woot!

In Real Estate

We have been experiencing difficulties in finances for a time now. It must be the fact that we have more mouth to feed now, imagine two helpers and 4 kids. On toiletries alone, we are spending 4 times we used to. There’s baby shampoo, baby soap, cologne, powder etc. Sometimes it was really tempting to take out a loan but I know it won’t really solve our financial crises.

Other than that, I am not very familiar with loans and terms used in loans. Actually I am more familiar with real estate terms like reverse mortgage. This is a loan that is given to senior citizens. Or a kind of loan in real estate that is available to senior citizen. It works in a way that instead of paying a monthly amortization, the owner of the property is given a monthly payment or a bulk payment. The minimum requirement to avail this is that the borrower must be 62 years old at least.

Seniors citizen count on (Home Equity Conversion Mortgages) hecm counselor to help them use their home equity for income supplement. To become an hecm counselor, a person need to complete several requirements. They need to complete the HUD approved training program. they can opt for the classroom training or download the training materials. They should pass the HECM Counseling exam with a passing score of 80 out of 100 points. Another requirement is to apply to reverse mortgage company that are approved by HUD. But if you fail to pass the score of 80 out of 100, you can still retake the exam. But you must remember that you need to pay a non refundable fee every time you take the exam.

Another real estate term that I am familiar is reverse loan calculator. This a system for reverse mortgage that is designed by the Federal Housing Administration. This system determines if a senior is eligible for a reverse mortgage loan or not. This system are based on age of the senior and the value of the property owned by the senior.

But wait, before you start thinking I am your reverse mortgage expert, I am not. I just love reading stuffs about mortgage and real estate articles. As you know, we are still renting so any news about real estate is very interesting to me. I mean, you’ll never know, I might stumble upon a great site that will teach me how to have a house of our own.
