Christmas 2019 Wish Gift List

I am trying to complete Mommy Levy 100 Blog Ideas and for Day 3, it says to share something about yourself. I actually don’t know what to share since my life is kinda an open book, or open youtube channel. What is it that you would still want to know about me? I can’t think of any! A quick glance (ok about 30 minutes haha) on my Facebook mommy group (please join if you are a Pinay mom, look for Mommy Blogger Pehpot MOMMY CLUB), and I know what I can share with you.

Something about me: Every January, I try to remind myself to start making plans for Christmas and start listing people and gift ideas.. more often than not, or actually every year, I never got the chance to. I always end up rushing my shopping and at least forget two or 3 persons. So this year, I am sharing with you my list so that I won’t forget.

Christmas 2019 Wish Gift List

Family includes my immediate family and my relatives. So far, from the past years, I have managed to perfect this list. The main reason is, we only give gifts to kids and oldies, not everyone in the family. This year, I will be trying to get everyone something (kahit mug or medyas lang!).

Friends list includes my closest friends and their kids and of course my godchildren. Hopefully this year I will be able to deliver all gifts. From past experiences, some of the gifts I prepared ends up in our storage area.

Work related list includes people I (and the Kumare Bloggers) have worked with this year. Last year, we made a lot of blunders and we were in a hurry. This year, I want it to be more personal and slow pacing. As early as now, I am already planning our route. Hear that Peachy, Badet, and Levy! haha

School list is basically teachers, close classmates, clinic, and service. Back when my kids were still studying in a smaller school, I used to give gifts to everyone because I know everyone. With the school’s size, it’s easy to be friends with everyone. Now, the kids are going to a much much bigger school, my only interaction is with the teacher and the clinic.. maybe this year I can extend it with a simple meryenda for each department. What do you think?

Community. This is the list that usually gets the least attention and most often than not, the list where I usually do the last minute Christmas shopping. I want to be more organized than that! This list includes our health care providers (Pedia, OB, and Dentist) as well as their secretaries. This list also includes personnels here in our village.

You might be wondering why it was categorized as such. It’s not about the budget but just to be organized and easier to track. So there you have it, this is something about me that I am sharing to you today.

3 Reasons Why Building Self-Confidence Is Critical To Your Success

Self-confidence is a deep sense of self-awareness within you that makes you confident and is a critical factor in your everyday life. Many people have goals to achieve, ranging from business-related goals to individual goals and they all require a certain level of self-confidence to achieve them.

It is therefore essential for you to build up some self-confidence. By this, you need to know your abilities and qualities well and in case you don’t, figure them out. Here are 3 reasons why building self-confidence is critical to your success.

It enables you to progress

What matters the most for you to progress fast is your belief in winning and your ability to succeed in what you do. Self-confidence is more like a booster that encourages you to start off things on our own. It gives you the ability to easily stretch your limits as well as test them. Whether you want to become an influential person or thrive in whatever you do, you have to be self-confident.

The moment you are not shy or afraid of standing out, give an opinion about something or speak out a new idea then you are on the road to progress. By doing this you gradually realize your capabilities and potential.

The same applies in business. If you want to strike a deal or get a job, you need to know how to be self-confident to show your prospective clients and interviewers how strong you are so as to sell yourself, products or services.

Self-confidence also enables you to attract the right kind of people into your life. Once you can engage an audience with your confidence, then they will be engaged and are more likely to listen to you. The more people you can attract, the more you progress.

It enables you to stand up for yourself

Self-confidence gives you the ability to either refuse something that you don’t want or don’t like or agree where appropriate. When you can stand up for yourself as well as your opinions in a fair and consistent manner, then you will get the proper treatment that you deserve. You will not be forced to do anything inappropriate. You make the final choice which determines what you want. Once you can make the right decisions, then you will be able to achieve your goals.

It helps to overcome the fear of both the known and the unknown

Most people who are not self-confident are afraid. While fear might be seen to be normal it can have negative impacts on your life since it can lead to failure. Be confident in your abilities and capabilities and do not fear what others think. For you to succeed you need to have the confidence to face and overcome your fears. Have the guts to ask a question when you don’t understand, even when others are silent or ask for a job rather than be afraid.

With self-confidence, there is so much that you can achieve. Most successful people are self-confident and believe in themselves, so you need to know how to love yourself, believe in yourself, your skills and capabilities to for you to succeed.

5 Tips to Helping a Friend in a Harmful Relationship

It hurts to see someone you care about struggling in a relationship that seems to take away their joy and happiness. It is natural to want to look for ways of to help. Sadly, your friend may not be ready to listen to you. Worse still, it may be difficult for you to determine whether you’ll regret trying to solve the issue as your words may deepen the wounds they already have.

On the other hand, some people may appear happy and bright on the outside when they’re suffering from the effects of a harmful relationship in a real sense. If you realize that your close friend has this issue, then it’s possible to assist them. Here are some tips you need to help someone who is in a pestilent relationship.

1. Listen
Friends can go far if they love listening to one another. As your friend talks, support him or her and do not apply any pressure. Aggression is one of the worst things because it can push away your pal. When someone is heartbroken, what they need most is a person who can listen to them.

2. Air Your Concerns
One of the things that make your friend’s unhealthy relationship is when you lean on either extreme side, become silent on them, or strongly advise them to end the affair. The way to win the fight is to stay neutral. This is because your pal may be in self-doubt, making it difficult for them to see things clearly.
Airing your concerns is very important, especially when you know how to spot domestic violence. Speak up if you’re suspecting that your friend is a victim of abuse. Don’t hesitate and feel that you might be wrong or that your pal may not want to disclose their secrets. Your concern could let the person feel you care about them. You may even save a life!

3. Share Your Own Story
If you’ve ever been in a harmful relationship before, then you have a very powerful weapon to help your friend. Talk about your own toxic love story so as to identify with the person who is currently suffering. However, do not share in a way to condemn your friend. Be as gentle as possible.

4. Say What You Think Honestly
One of the most important ways of helping your friend who is in a harmful relationship is by being direct and honest with the person. Tell them just what they need, not what their ears are itching to hear. Your pal may value your take on the matter more seriously if they feel that you are honest with them. However, maintain a gentle attitude while talking.

5. Avoid Judging and Criticizing
There are chances that your friend is already processing the problem to find a lasting solution. Therefore, do not begin judging or criticizing them straightaway. It’s always wise to go with an open mind and hear what your pal has to say about the issue before making a comment.
Conclusion
Since relationships are very complex, it’s always wise to be careful when helping a friend who is in a toxic one. Otherwise, you may end up hurting your pal or making the harmful affair even more awful. Be extra sensitive.
