A Bit For Him

I don’t know if I can still blog that much. I can post three times a day still but blog hop.. I don’t think so. I don’t have the energy to read my friend’s blog and think and comment. My first born needs me so much and it is very draining. He is having a lot of emotional turbulence right now. He lacks the motivation to move, to think and do what he needs to. I cannot abandon him during this time. He is my pillar of strength and seeing him slowly crashing right before my eyes kills me. I hate the fact that I can’t do anything. I tried letting him do whatever he thinks can give back his motivation but no use. I also tried reprimanding him, and still no use. I cannot think now, all I can do and be with him. Along the way, I thought of rebelling to what he is becoming but I can’t. I am made up with much more than that and I know, it won’t solve our problems. He lacks the will to do anything. He lacks the motivation, he lacks it all. What can I do for him when in fact he was my source?

I already suggested something to him that can take this all away, but are we ready for it? Can we face it? Oh darn!

The News That Made My Blog Day

By now, you are all aware if my OCD and my blogging sched (somehow). Tuesday and Thursday is for current events or anything that is not that personal or with a touch of events (yeah like she bloggers and the likes). And so while I was thinking of whether to create another she bloggers update, I checked my mail for a while. I was not surprised to see an update from my Barrio, Barrio Siete, but I was surprised that a new article is not about Cory anymore:

2009 Influential Blog Awards, Cooking with Janet?!
Janette Toral chatted with me sometime this year. She asked for my support for her Influential Blog Awards. Given that up to this point, I am still hyper-critical of that other market-their-business-best friends/volunteers/kiss-ur-ass-and-will-continue-to-watch-them-2009-awards, I decided to support her. Why? I liked the idea of making known the small and upcoming talented bloggers. That’s the least that we can do with all these meaningless blog awards. In fact, she even told me na pag-uwi ko raw, just let her know and she will let me speak in one of her seminars. … (from my inbox)

And since I joined this hullabaloo, I click the link and landed on one of the most controversial article I have seen in Barrio Siete. It made my blogging day as I did not dare open my dashboard and my eyes were glued in this article. I feel like there’s a bomb waiting to explode. There are issues that needs to be resolved. I have to give it to La Kapitana (Inay Reyna for me) for braving the blogosphere and publishing this kind of article. For the Barriotics who were involved in the investigation, thanks for giving this to us.

As I have said, I joined and made an entry for Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs 2009 and considered on launching my very own campaign and influence bloggers to include me on their list. Then again, aside from my tardiness, I don’t think it would be proper to lobby for a vote.

Go ahead and check Barrio Siete, they can explain it better to you.. All this hullabaloo and the more pressing issues about it.

Pehpot The Snob

It was my first event as a blogger. Actually not first (if you would include the she bloggers day out) but the first formal one. This is your usual event (not our ordinary kitakits meet up), freebies, celebrities, activities. Not being ungrateful to the organizers, I really did enjoy the event and the kids enjoyed the freebies specially the cake, but it did not suit my personal preference for a fun event. Maybe I lack too much social skill that’s why I did not enjoy it that much (in terms of socializing). Maybe I am too shy to mingle with other bloggers. Maybe I really prefer the small group events (like a typical barkada meet up). Mostly it was my fault that I did not utilize the event to get some traffic for my site.. Maybe, maybe.. but blogging aside and socializing aside.. It was cool (but not hilarious, like the one we had in Kamay Kainan, where we pay for our food).

Lesson learned:
Never wear a five inches heel on this event.. it hinders the almost subzero social skill I have.
Smile and smile, even though they won’t smile back.
Don’t be shy on handing out your blogging card.
And though I enjoy being with my best bud, I guess events like that don’t suit our almost subzero social skills, next time bring a blogger too!!!
Lastly, announce to the the blogging world that you will attend, so they will be excited to see you.. and attend looking like the one in your profile pic.. nyehehe….
