Anything mommy blogger related here. This features blog events coverage. This blog also publish press release and write ups. Tips and tutorials on how to be an effective blogger.

This also include a list of top mommy blog in the Philippines.

In addition, here is the 5 SIMPLE STEPS TO BE A MOMMY BLOGGER:

1. Create a blog name that will represent you as a mommy blog. Sometimes it's good to include the noun mommy or mother or nanay.

2. Create an email the same as your blog name for branding purpose, in other words, for identification. After that, you can proceed to step 3 which is actually one of the most challenging part.

3. Open a blog. It has been debated for so many times which is the best blogging platform to use. For starters, I usually recommend blogspot because it is free. On the other han, if you are ready to shell out money, wordpress org is the best.

4. Design your blog. This sound like an easy task to do, it is actually, however, it can be very time consuming. The number of free templates for a blog is endless. To help you decide, set your blog tone and color. Will it be a dark themed blog? Light? What will be the primary colors? And from there, searching will be easier.

5. Lastly and most importantly, Start writing. The best way to start this is to introduce yourself. Likewise, you can also create a list of why you started a mommy blog. Or you can mention top 10 things that you would want your future readers to know about you.

Anmum Mommy Circle (plus Anmum Giveaway!)

With my four pregnancies, my OB would always remind me to drink y vitamins and at least 2 glasses of milk. She recommends Anmum  as my milk supplement. I believe that drinking Anmum helped a lot, all four are very smart! They have strong bones and I never had a problem with their digestion.

Anmum Materna provides Folate, DHA and Gangliosides, Calcium for baby’s body and brain development. It also provides  Iron to reduce the risk of Iron Deficiency Anemia and Vitamin B6 to reduce the effects of nausea  It also has Fibre to support a healthy digestive system. And because Anmum Materna is rich in folate, it is also recommended for women who are planning to get pregnant. It also comes in different flavors, vanilla, choco and hazelnut (what?!? hazelnut? bakit ngayon ka lang? haha).

Now that I am done with pregnancy and still continue to breastfeed my baby, Anmum is still there to help me through Anmum Lacta. It’s a breastfeeding moms must have as it contains Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B12, Folate, Calcium, and Iron and all these are essential during the breastfeeding period.

If you’re an Anmum user like me, I’m sure you would want to be a part of the Anmum Mommy Circle. Share your experience and celebrate motherhood through Anmum Mommy Circle. You can also ask for advice or even ask the in house nutritionist.

Protect Your Baby Against Diaper Rash With Johnson’s® Baby Complete Care Diaper System™

Diaper Rash is never welcome on any mom’s home.. or baby’s bottom to be exact. I am lucky that with four kids, I never experienced diaper rash. For one, we don’t use diapers that often and if we do, I always make sure that the bottom is clean (using Johnson’s® Baby Wipes and applies Johnson’s® baby powder after changing.

I have learned from Dr. Dizon of the Pediatric Dermatology Society of the Philippines that any healthy baby skin can be compromised due to the following factors:

  • Excess skin wetness
  • Feces and fecal enzymes
  • Interaction of feces and urine
  • Increased pH leading to greater fecal enzymes and activity and
  • increased skin permeability

And may lead to diaper rash because of the following factors:

  • Fecal enzymes
  • Skin friction
  • Candida albicans (yeast infection)
  • Unidentified chemical irritants

Dr. Dizon also made some points on the cleansing regimen such as the incidence of diaper rash using just water and wash cloth alone is higher vs. using wipes with emollient and that use of powder is beneficial.

Yes powder, talc, which was recently classified as “not classifiable as a human carcinogen” by the US American Congress of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH).

Cleaning for your baby’s bottom has been simplified with three steps, The Johnson’s® Baby Complete Care Diaper System™. An easy way to help protect your baby against diaper rash:

Step 1: Wipe
It is important to remember that not all wipes are the same. Johnson’s® Baby Skincare Wipes effectively protects your baby’s bottom because it doesn’t just clean, it helps prevent diaper rash like a diaper cream.

Step 2: Powder
Johnson’s® Baby Complete Care powder repels wetness by keeping pee and poop from touching the baby’s bottom. It also soothes rashes and helps reduce friction, giving baby complete protection from diaper rash.

Step 3: Change
Regular diaper changing every 3-4 hours is important to keep baby’s bottom clean and dry to minimize skin rashes and irritation in the diaper area.

For new moms and soon to be mommies, Johnson’s® Baby Complete Care Diaper System™ is a big help in terms of diaper rash management. Oh well, Johnson’s® was like mom’s partner in raising a child, my 9 year old boy still uses Johnson’s® Baby products (from shampoo to bath to cologne!). Learn more about the Johnson’s® Baby Complete Care Diaper System™ through Johnson’s® Philippines Facebook Page.

Our RU 3 experience was not that fun.. supposedly our first ever run as a family.. 3K run un! excited pa naman ang mga kids kase first time nila to run sa 3K and my little girl is overly excited to run with her new Hello Kitty rubber shoes. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate.. excited din yata ang ulan kaya bumuhos ng bongga!
I did finished 3k and was glad with my imporvement (from 30+ min last time to 26 minutes! yay!). It was raining hard a few meters to the finish line and since I forgot to wear the visor, I am almost blind.. but it such an experience . kaya lang it was lonely running all by myself..
Now comes Run United Philippine Marathon.. and judging by the weather the past fw days, mukhang promising ang Sunday! I asked the kids what category they want to join and the older boys said they want to try 3k (so this is or second chance! yay! thank you Unilab!).. The younger set will try the 500m. And since my sister will be here this weekend, I’m sure they will come along 🙂
Exciting weekend coming up!
