This also include a list of top mommy blog in the Philippines.

In addition, here is the 5 SIMPLE STEPS TO BE A MOMMY BLOGGER:

1. Create a blog name that will represent you as a mommy blog. Sometimes it's good to include the noun mommy or mother or nanay.

2. Create an email the same as your blog name for branding purpose, in other words, for identification. After that, you can proceed to step 3 which is actually one of the most challenging part.

3. Open a blog. It has been debated for so many times which is the best blogging platform to use. For starters, I usually recommend blogspot because it is free. On the other han, if you are ready to shell out money, wordpress org is the best.

4. Design your blog. This sound like an easy task to do, it is actually, however, it can be very time consuming. The number of free templates for a blog is endless. To help you decide, set your blog tone and color. Will it be a dark themed blog? Light? What will be the primary colors? And from there, searching will be easier.

5. Lastly and most importantly, Start writing. The best way to start this is to introduce yourself. Likewise, you can also create a list of why you started a mommy blog. Or you can mention top 10 things that you would want your future readers to know about you.

Defensil’s Donation Drive to Vaccine Sites Helps Filipinos to Live Safe Now

In line with their commitment to help Filipinos live safe now, Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol donated reusable personal protective equipment (PPE) and Defensil 70% Isopropyl Alcohol to several vaccination sites in Muntinlupa, San Juan and Pasig.

As more and more Filipinos get their vaccines, Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol is here to help ensure that frontliners and priority groups remain protected through proper sanitation.

Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol donated 600 PPE’s and 264 1-liter bottles of isopropyl alcohol to vaccination sites such as the Pasig Sports Center, Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan as well as at the Festival Mall and Ayala South Park in Muntinlupa, creating a safer environment as more and more Filipinos get their jabs.

“We are committed to supporting the government’s vaccination efforts to help more Filipinos to live safer. We hope that the PPEs and isopropyl alcohol we donated to the different vaccine sites can give fellow Filipinos a higher level of protection as they get vaccinated and will serve as a reminder of the importance of always disinfecting when they go out and start to go back to their regular activities,” said Nikko Cruz, Brand Manager of Defensil Isopropyl Alcohol.

With Filipinos returning to the workplace and slowly resuming outdoor activities like shopping, dining, and working out, regular disinfection of hands and high touch surfaces using rubbing alcohol remains a key solution to help prevent the spread of germs. Recommended by the Philippine Society for Microbiology, Defensil’s 70% Solution Isopropyl Alcohol allows Filipinos to live safe now as it kills 99.9% of germs. It also helps Filipinos to quickly and effectively sanitize as it starts to kill germs on contact and provides up to 12 hours of protection upon constant use.

On top of this, Defensil is hypo-allergenic and contains moisturizer, so Filipinos can sanitize as often as they need to, as they go back to their regular activities.

With vaccination sites given a higher level of protection, Filipinos can live safe now and have greater peace of mind as they get vaccinated.

Nutri-Sarap Para sa Malusog na Bukas: Creating an Army of Moms Against Malnutrition

Every mom wants what’s best for their child. This is especially true when it comes to their future. Securing a bright and successful life for their kids is what moms obsess about the most.

“How do I make sure my child will always live a happy life?” “What else can I do to help my child succeed in life?”

While there are many factors that affect a person’s chance at success, one element that studies have found to be especially critical to this is proper nutrition. It is not unknown knowledge that nutrition—especially in the early stages of development—can have significant effects on a child’s ability to learn, as well as their overall health. Sadly, in the Philippines, malnutrition and food insecurity remain to be prevalent.

In a recent report by the World Bank, surveys show that in September 2020, seven months into the community quarantine, 31% of Filipino families reported experiencing hunger in the past 30 days, with 9% suffering with severe hunger. Both cases were the highest levels recorded in more than 20 years. The same report discusses the prevalence of micronutrient undernutrition in the country. Recent data show highly alarming rates of anemia both among children (38% among infants 6-11 months, 26% among children 12-23 months old) and pregnant women (20%).

Now more than ever, moms need to have access to more resources for healthy home-cooked meals. And as an answer to this, global food brand, Knorr recently launched Nutri-Sarap Nutrition Program, an enhanced nutrition program that aims to curve malnutrition and provide Filipinos a better chance at a brighter future.

Under the Nutri-Sarap Nutrition Program, Knorr strengthens its partnership with various government agencies and NGOs—including the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Education (DepEd), Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network, National Nutrition Council as well as Pilipinas Kontra Gutom—to educate parents (moms especially) on how to prepare healthy, delicious, and abot-kayang home-cooked meals for their families.

The brand believes that the greatest weapon one can use in this battle is knowledge. And through its different partners, it is giving moms the ammunition they need to win this battle.

But what information are they giving out, specifically? Through its partnership with Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI), for the Nutri-Sarap Nutrition Program, Knorr developed a proprietary 21-day Nutrition Plan that empowers parents to build healthy eating habits for their kids and diversify their family’s diet. The program makes it easier for everyone by telling them exactly what they need to eat and how to prepare them.

In addition to this, the launch of the Nutri-Sarap Nutrition Program also comes with the release of Knorr’s strengthened commitment towards bringing nutrition closer to people through its products. The popular Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc Mix Original now contains Vitamin C, while kitchen staple Knorr Chicken & Pork Broth Cubes is now a source of iron. With these developments, Knorr further solidifies its position as a leading force for good nutrition among Filipino families.

And just to prove all that nutrition really is a major factor to success, Knorr recently shared the inspiring stories of three individuals who were able to win against all odds thanks to their moms’ cooking. These are the stories of PBA legend Marc Pingris, multi-awarded educator Teacher Fe, and Doc Otit, the first Tigwahanon Manobo medicine graduate.

The Knorr Nutri Sarap Nutrition Program serves as another chapter in Knorr’s mission to help eradicate malnutrition and involuntary hunger in the Philippines. For more information, visit www.knorr.com/ph and follow Knorr Philippines on Facebook and @knorrph on Instagram.

Tenya Launches Farm to Table Japanese Menu to Help Local Farmers and Fisherfolk

Tenya, Japan’s number one Tempura Tendon chain, seeks out new ways to partner with local food producers in their restaurants in the Philippines, with the launch of their farm-to-table initiative, dubbed Tenya Lokal.

Through this initiative, Tenya wishes to provide an immediate solution to the nation’s farmers and fisherfolk, who have experienced a sharp reduction in the sales of their products as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Getting Them Back on Their Feet

According to a study published in the Asian Journal Agriculture and Development, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound effect on the productivity of the agricultural industry throughout Southeast Asia, and in the Philippines in particular.

Because farmers and other food producers were forced to stay home and could not put out to sea or tend to their fields, production of important food items ground to a halt, especially during the period of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

This inability to work severely impacted the earning capacity of this vital segment of the national workforce, and it is this problem that Tenya has sought to resolve with Tenya Lokal.

With the launch of Tenya Lokal, the tempura tendon restaurant has provided a ready revenue stream for the nation’s farmers and fisherfolk, eliminating the middlemen and ensuring that only the highest quality produce arrives on diners’ plates.

Japanese Craftsmanship, Filipino Produce

“Tenya has selected the best of Filipino ingredients, and our Japanese chefs have treated them with care to prepare dishes that we’re sure our diners will love,” said Edmundo Ramos, General Manager of Tenya. “These are world-class dishes, made with produce from our own shores,” he added.

“This is our way of giving back to the communities of farmers and fisherfolk who have been our partners since we started out,” said Chukri Prieto, Tenya’s Managing Director.

“We hope that in our own way, Tenya is able to help jumpstart the road to recovery for these people. We felt it was important to call attention to the pressing needs of our food producers. With our countrymen’s support, we can assure their livelihood,” he remarked.

Tenya Director of Operations Denise Ramos stressed the importance of this objective. “These people, our food producers, they do so much for all of us. We had to do our part and especially in 2020, we had to step up,” she said.

“This has always been part of our core at Tenya,” she added.

Key media partners were allowed to taste some of the delightful dishes that are part of the Tenya Lokal menu, during a virtual luncheon held on July 16, 2021.

An Ally Since the Start

Even at the beginning of the global outbreak in 2020, Tenya had sought to be an ally in the fight against it.

By collaborating with strategic partners such as the Hands On Manila, Tenya has been able to provide aid and comfort to those who most needed it.

Health care workers and other frontliners have been treated to some of Tenya’s delicious Japanese dishes, to sustain them in their fight against the deadly disease.

The restaurant also offered a Buy One—Take One—Share One promotion during its TenYa Day celebration in 2020. For every meal diners paid for, they received another meal to share with a friend or loved one, and sponsored a meal for a medical front liner.

Tenya has also sponsored gift packages for beneficiaries of the Make a Wish Foundation, to ensure that every child’s dream comes true.

As Tenya aims to champion Japanese excellent craftsmanship, the brand has also made their menu affordable, perfect for young professionals and anybody craving for quality Japanese food. Their prices start at PHP 145 for their ramens, P165 for their donburi bowls and bento box ranging from P195 to P245.

The brand has also made their menu accessible to those who would like to enjoy their food in the comforts of their own homes. Tenya is now on Grabfood, Foodpanda and Pickaroo, you can also order through their FB messenger and webiste at www.tenya.com.ph.

Now, with hope on the horizon in the fight against the coronavirus, Tenya seeks to uplift the agricultural and aquacultural industries, who have been hit hard by the pandemic.

Visit their stores at SM Megamall, Market! Market!, SM Southmall, ASEANA City, Festival Mall, Paseo de Magallanes, Tiendesitas, Ayala Malls Circuit, and Timog Avenue.
