When I started blogging, I have no idea how a template is done.. as in no idea at all.. and then I heard about designer’s charging up to $100. At first I thought it was exorbitantly priced and then I learned how to make a template and if you have no idea how.. you better shut up.. Template design is not all about images, it’s about putting your time, your effort into it. I tweaked all my blogs and so I now that creating a template is not as simple as blinking, yeah the codes can be recycled but time is the issue. It will take a day or more to customize a certain site, from header, to footer, to the color of the hover..

Have you tried tweaking your blog? Changing the color of the sidebar? How about trying to fit in the header? Or changing the font of your post title? Do you know that every element in your blog is being taken care of your blog designer? Let me make it elaborate for you.. to the point that you will learn how to design your own site.. First there’s the header. Creating one is really really easy. All you have to do is look for an image in the web that will fit the character or the theme of your client. It can take from 2 hour or more, depending on the image you client want. So if one will charge $5 per hour, a usual header will be $10. And then there’s the background, the color of the fonts, the size of the wrapper,the size of the padding, the codes, the FFFFFF, the 000000 and all the other values that need to be changed. This will take 4 to 6 hours.. so that’s $30. There’s favicon and if you have no idea what is it, then use your Google. Editing and creating this can take an hour or less.. so let’s just say it’s $5. And the footer which is a bit easy so let’s just say that it will take an hour, so that’s plus $5. And if you are not fan of a plain background, you can customize it, which will take another hour, so that’s $5 again. A signature can take a lot of time specially if it is animated. If you are not a designer, of course you have no idea how it is done, so once again, shut up. Let’s just say that a signature can take 3 hours, so that’s $15.

Oh wait, let’s do some math.. $75.. and we haven’t started with the installation yet.. the testing and last minute tweaking.. and we’re talking about just a $100!

Hmmm.. this is getting longer.. but anyways, if you are not cheap and pretending to know it all and have a less than mediocre header in your site and want to have a fabulous blog, I highly recommend WAHMaholic Blog Designs.

Marce Club.. Almost Complete

We were hoping that all Sati’s ninang that lives here in the country can make it to the June 20 date aka Jade’s thanks giving party aka Jade’s baby shower. Supposedly a surprise baby shower fot Jade but we all have no idea how a baby shower goes so we just gave her some gifts. Jade shouldered all the food expense.. yum yum yum..

First to arrived was Niko and Yena. And then Mye, the twins and her hubby. Fedhz with YZ and with Jade and hubby Jules arrive next.. And since it will take forever before Kaye arrived and Joana is already on her way, we decided to eat.

Jade and Jules went ahead while we lured YZ to stay behind.. they went home around 7 PM bwahaha… Chichi and Kaye sleep here for a night and then the next day we dropped them to YZ’s condo.. Kaye had so much catching ups to do.. LOL

Why the title? Oh well our dearest Marce Yami (and Marce Chris too.. but it was already agreed that she will attend the she bloggers mmet up) was not there.. hmp

Looking For A Resto

Looking for a place to eat is like miss and hit. Sometimes you can find a restaurant that will satisfy you down to the last drop. You are lucky if you can find a restaurant like that. But in most people, it is not the case. It takes a lot of bad service and before they can finally say that they found their restaurant. Good thing that now, looking for the best place is as easy as pie, local city searches, offers the widest reviews for hotels and restaurants. So before dinning in, you’ll have a peak of how accommodating the staffs are or how discriminating they can be.

That reminds me of a certain incident this week. We went out to buy some school stuff for the kids, and grab some bread to this famous bake house. Hubby was not the type of person who dress up. And obviously the crew of this famous bakehouse is very typical of the appearance of their patrons. Hubby was the first in line and he was told that he has to prepare the drinks yet, but then again, after saying that, the crew assisted the new costumer (which is obviously rich looking foreigners) without making sure that our orders are being prepared already.

I could have put their bake house in the local city searches if we have one here. That kind of treatment is inexcusable. But knowing how people reacts in this country, I will just have to blog about it.
