Silver Prices and Investing

Silver prices have risen since 2000 and will continue to do so over the next ten years because silver has become such a hot commodity. Experts claim that almost 95 percent of all silver ever mined has been consumed or used up by the public. Silver is used in the manufacturing of such products as computer chips, cell phone parts, water purification systems and even some medicines. Silver is quickly becoming one of the most precious metals in the world because not much of it is recycled like that of gold, which is also hoarded by people as soon as they get their hands on it so as to never lose it.

Since silver prices have risen and will continue to do so, collectors and investors are considering investing in silver bars and other silver items in the hopes of making money from silver over the next couple of years. The reasons to invest in silver include the following:

-The cost of the production of silver has risen faster than silver prices themselves and has not adjusted yet accordingly.

-Because of undervaluation of silver prices, there is massive leverage in silver stocks and underlying equities.

-Physical inventories of silver are beginning to fall into stronger hands.

The demand for silver is absolutely mind boggling to the point that silver mines fell 76 million ounces short of the demand over the past two years. In fact, the demand for silver has exceeded its supply value each year since 1990. If this trend continues, which experts believe it will, it should cause the price of silver to skyrocket into astronomical values. As the price continues to rise more and more investors will begin to sell their silver collections in hopes of turning a profit on their original investment, which should not be too difficult to do.

Intorducing Solid Foods

The following articles you will read are direct copy from Babycenter.com. Below are from the article: Introducing solid foods

When should I introduce solid food to my baby?

You can introduce solids any time between 4 and 6 months if your baby is ready. Until then, breast milk or formula provides all the calories and nourishment your baby needs and can handle. His digestive system simply isn’t ready for solids until he nears his half-birthday.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that babies be breastfed exclusively for at least six months — though parents will attest that some babies are eager and ready to eat solids earlier.

How will I know when my baby’s ready?

Your baby will give you clear signs when he’s ready to move beyond liquid-only nourishment. Cues to look for include:

  • Head control. Your baby needs to be able to keep his head in a steady, upright position.
  • Losing the “extrusion reflex.” To keep solid food in his mouth and then swallow it, your baby needs to stop using his tongue to push food out of his mouth.
  • Sitting well when supported. Even if he’s not quite ready for a highchair, your baby needs to be able to sit upright to swallow well.
  • Chewing motions. Your baby’s mouth and tongue develop in sync with his digestive system. To start solids, he should be able to move food to the back of his mouth and swallow. As he learns to swallow efficiently, you may notice less drooling — though if your baby’s teething, you might still see a lot of drool.
  • Significant weight gain. Most babies are ready to eat solids when they’ve doubled their birth weight (or weigh about 15 pounds) and are at least 4 months old.
  • Growing appetite. He seems hungry — even with eight to ten feedings of breast milk or formula a day.
  • Curiosity about what you’re eating. Your baby may begin eyeing your bowl of rice or reaching for a forkful of fettuccine as it travels from your plate to your mouth.

Now, why post this? well I think, even though Sati is only 5 months old, she is already showing signs that she is ready to EAT. will post about that later.

The Benefits of Using a Mortgage Payment Calculator

If you’re considering buying a home, it’s important to estimate what your monthly mortgage payments will be. With the help of a mortgage payment calculator, you can get a general idea of how much home payments will cost each month. This will allow you to work out a budget, decide if you can afford the home you’re considering, and help you figure out your potential expenses.

Using the Mortgage Payment Calculator

First, you’ll need to figure out the principal of the mortgage. This is the amount of the mortgage that you’ll be paying off. Basically, it’s the cost of the home minus the amount of your down payment. This amount will be entered into the first box of the calculator.

Next, enter the length of your mortgage. The mortgage payment calculator will input this information into an amortization program that will figure out the payments over the term of your mortgage. Most mortgages are calculated over fifteen to thirty years.

Last, enter the interest rate of your mortgage. The mortgage payment calculator will determine the interest for you based on the rate that you enter. Keep in mind that the calculator works with fixed interest rates. If you’ve chosen an adjustable rate mortgage, your figures may be slightly off, depending on the changes in your interest rate over time.

After entering these three pieces of information, the mortgage payment calculator will determine the monthly payment amount of your mortgage. You can then use this information to determine if the houses you’re considering work with your monthly budget, if you need to choose a lower priced property, or if you’ll have extra room in the budget for renovations or repairs. A mortgage payment calculator is an incredibly useful tool for potential home buyers. Don’t make a decision without using this software to run the numbers on your new investment.
