Blast From The Past

When we went home to my mother’s place, we helped her sort out their things. They will be moving in a few weeks and knowing my mother, she really need some help on decluttering. She actually hate that word, as much as I am in love with decluttering, my mom have a hard time letting go of things. She even keep our old elementary super outdated textbooks. So while we were in the middle of clearing her house (where we met a lot of undesirable creatures, read: cockroaches), we manage to dig her photo albums and we got so much fun looking through her photos.

The photo above was my grandparents from her. This is the only photo that she got of them. her mom died (sniff, sniff, it never fails to make me teary eyed knowing my mother grew up without her mom and yet she managed to be the best mom for us) when she was 2 months old due to appendicitis. I think we have a history of weak intestine, my older sister’s appendix was removed too. I am planning to edit (i typed photoshopped haha..) the photos and include a photo of her during her graduation. She never had a photo with her parents.

This one, I don’t know when was this taken but for sure, she was still single here. And look at the eyebrows, told you she got a pretty one and we are lucky Sati got that!

VOIP for Kofiholic

You know already where I have been the past week. Sorry if I did not told you I was on vacation that time. I just thought it was like telling the whole world that our house is empty haha. So guys, just a suggestion, although blogging is fun, please do not tell the world that you will be leaving your house for a weekend or days. Criminals are everywhere. Back to my story, yes we went to our province. We visited my grandmother (first time to see our princess, I was teary eyed looking at them), then we stayed most of the time to my sister’s newly opened snack house and coffee shop (yes they serve frappe).

I told my sister, instead of phone lines she can use small business voip for her snack house. Why use voip? Well, for sure her business will do good and there will come a time that they would have a hard time using ordinary phones. When they use voip they can have unlimited calling, both local and long distance. Another feature available is caller id and on call waiting, they will know who is on the line even before answering. With that they can prioritize their repeating costumers. And even if they are closed or out of town, they can receive calls because of the call forwarding features. They can even check their voice mall through web interface. It will be a good addition tot heir growing business.

Mommy Moments- Shoes

It’s been a long time since I last joined Mommy Moments. I really missed this meme. And so before I get too dip doing paid post, let me share with you some SHOES moments.

He love his shoes, well he had no choice. It’s the only shoes he got. And that shoes has been with him through exam weeks, quizzes and even day out with friends. It is as if it’s his favorite shoes. He is not rich and shoes is not one of their priorities. He can only buy a pair every year, every Christmas.

He is not the type of person who complains. Although it has been weeks since his shoes starts to laugh (the sole is falling), he never minds. It’s not December yet, so what’s the sense, he’ll just have to live with it. He walked on and on getting used to it, walking without lifting much his feet. His shoes on the other hand, was trying all he can do to let his master know he is about to retire. They are both trying and the time comes when his shoes finally gave up.

One day while walking,he suddenly felt hot, his shoes sole fell off. All the while he was walking almost barefooted. It took him some minutes to find the sole of the shoes. As he went home, he cursed himself for not being careful enough. So while he try to fix it using a rugby and a stick, he promised himself that his kids will not experience it.. and yeah, he kept his promise.

Well, we don’t spend that much in shoes, Chico just got lucky because he can still use his kuya’s old shoes and even his cousin’s old shoes. Chico got more than a dozen hand me downs shoes.
