Tomato Love

Don’t you just love tomatoes? This was taken form my mother’s small veggie garden. I like tomatoes but I try not to eat it raw, not for any scientific reason, I just don’t like it raw. Although I love it in my green mango salads and tacos, only if it sliced thinly and very small. I cannot stand the juice or the sound it creates when you bite into its chunky pieces.. cringe.. I do love using it as a base of our dishes. Commonly, as it is in almost every Filipino dishes, tomato is a must. So it is just practical to have some on your garden. Tomato is easy to plant and in just a few weeks, you can harvest your very own (and the sweetest you will ever taste) tomato..ohh.. that is lurve…

Baby Clothes Brand

When you have boys, it’s hard looking for a nice clothes with a nice and cheap price tag. It is a lot easier having a girl, you can have the 35 Php or tatlo isangdaan bliuse from tiangge and it will look good on every baby girl. To think I already have three boys, meaning, their clothes had been hurting my pocket for a time now.LOL

This coming August 22 is my sister’s wedding (I thought it was August 8, but they moved it without advising me). I was in a hunt for a long sleeves polo for Chico. We can’t have him in Barong, aside from we can’t find one that wold fit him, it would not be comfortable for him. As it is, another mall hopping, boutique hopping and endless rack browsing for a mommy with boys.. ACK! why are the clothes department making it hard for me?!?

And it’s not only tha rarity of the boy’s clothes that’s making it hard, there’s the tag! The tag that comes with a raised eyebrow or shocking reaction. Why in the world they priced these kids clothes as much as my pants would? (or maybe I am just cheap LOL). It seems I have no choice but to go with the expensive flow.. and here you go guys, here are my favorite (and as if I had a choice).. kidding aside, these brands are really good, fashionable and with reasonable price (that’s rarity and fashion in consideration):

Gingersnap, they have the trendiest and I love this store because they never run out of brown (one of my fave color) and blues. Another thing is, they carry the hippest girl’s clothes.. I can’t to shop here for my Sati.

Periwinkle, another good store and they carry clothes as casual as play clothes and as formal as long sleeves and the likes.

Okasyon, a nice but a bit expensive shop, but they do carry clothes for formal events and whey they are on sale, they are on SALE!

As for my two boys, they can do with shirts and the likes and Garfield and Company B is always on sale for them.LOL

How about you guys? What’s your favorite children’s boutique?

We are talking local here ha.. don’t mention Carter’s because as you know, their price tag is not good for the wallet, better shop at Walmart for this brand.

Nutrition Month Celebration

My kid’s school held a parade earlier, one of the activities for their Nutrition Month Celebration. I really enjoyed it though the pre schoolers did not join the parade. I had fun taking photos of the kids and their small band. I had fun looking for the most veggie decorated kid..LOL After the parade, there was a program and the pre schoolers grace the audience with their Lady Gaga’s Poker Face. My kids did not join the intermission number, I wished they had.

Mico was a bit clingy during the ceremony. He was not like that when I am not with him. I guess he is still a baby after all. I wish he can be as sociable as me. I am trying my hard to show him that his mom is not the shy type and he should not be too. Maybe in time..

As for Kayil, he is more confident now, socializing and being on his own. It was such an achievement for me and I am very proud of him. I actually asked him to look after his younger brother so I can take some pics and he willingly obliged. My baby boy is not so baby anymore.

What’s with us parents? When our baby is clingy, we hope they are not but when they become independent we become sentimental on how big or mature they have grown. Being a mom is not an easy task. You always have to balance between babying too much or expecting too much from your kids.. but at least we can have all the hugs and kisses to fend off our worries. Don’t you just love being a mom?

the boy with the veggies is not mine.. just so you know.. although I would have decorated them with the prettiest veggie I can find or even a strawberry or pumpkin costume.. I was not prepared.. we were not advised to dress the kid up.. and as for my kids, it was a good thing.. haha
