I Write For A Cause

On my blog schedule, Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning is devoted to my blogger friends. I write/ feature them during those days. On Monday, I joined a meme which features a blog depending on the week’s theme. Wednesday is the chosen one day, I chose a blog to feature depending on my mood. Friday is the day for my blog review exchange. If you are not familiar with my blog review exchange, it goes like, make a review of my blog (5 backlinks with an iomage) and I will do the same. Blog review should be 200 words at minimum.

And so this day, the chosen one is Yami of Mom Writes For A Cause

I cant remember how we met virtually (I mean our blogging path cross) but she made an impact because of her simple blog lay out. Her lay out matches her entries, simple but gives a very strong impression. In a way I was intimidated by her blog but then I noticed she also participates on memes that I like. Her Mommy Moments entries made her bog very welcoming to Mommy bloggers like me. She also likes a Pinoy meme, Litratong Pinoy (used to participate but time is my enemy) and her pics are very nice to look at..

I learned later on that Yami is a very warm person (not to mention a loving wife). Her comments in my blog and sometimes poking in my email made me feel closer to her. We haven’t met yet but I do hope we will this coming August 13. I really can’t wait to meet her personally.

Now why am I featuring her? Oh well because she has a new badge to brag about and I want you all to grab it. Go now, visit her blog and grab the button on the side or just grab it right here 🙂

I Thought I Could Not Write About Her

Around the blogosphere, in almost every blog I have been, there’s a Cory Aquino entry. I must admit that I also have some in my Gossip Mom Blog. It’s an entertainment and news blog.. but aside from posting the news, I try not to give a personal touch to my Cory Aquino entries.. I thought I have nothing to say about her. I never knew her in a personal level. I was still young during the EDSA Revolution. My history orientation about her is very different from yours.. and then it hit me.. not the crowds that gather during the procession from La Salle to Manila Cathedral, but it was the Eulogy a while ago. It was how her close friends remembered here.. and so I must quote what Conrado de Quroz said:

“In life and in death, Cory has been—pardon my French—one damn good person” (from SNN)

It summarize it all as Conrado de Quiroz has been her greatest critic. She is indeed a GOOD person and is a great loss to her family and friends.

Come to think of it, on a personal level, I can name at least three things that is GOOD about her. First, when she stepped in as President after the EDSA Rev, she full fill her promise of freeing all the political prisoners. Second, she is the only President we have who is not power hungry. When it was time for her to step down, she did it with grace. Third, she is the most honest President we have, no corruption and she lived her life with in the simplest form, no luxury at all. It only shows she did not steal any from our taxes.

Oh lastly (I can come up with four?) she gave birth to Kris.. and if not for that, life would be less entertaining and light.

Motherly Instinct

We were browsing some old photo for my sister’s wedding on August 22 and saw this one.. Obviously at a very young age, I already have this thing they called motherly instinct. And it is not a surprise that at a very young age, I am already a mom of four.. LOL
