Mommy Moments- Yummy YumYum!

Another Mommy Moments day.. and we are talking about FOODS!!! My kids are not picky eaters. Look at the photo below, yup, they’re eating taro leaves in coconut milk or LAING for us. The say it looks like poopoo but they like it. They eat veggies, they eat meat, they eat anything. They never liked dry foods though. Let them choose between sauted vegetable and hotdog and they would gladly choose veggies. Their favorite dish is anything that Mommy prepared.. LOL.. seriously, they like sinigangs, kare kare and the likes, tinola, which basically the foods I prepared.. LOL

One may ask why the kids are not picky eaters? One of the reason I guess is the fact that I am not a picky eater too and their dad is not one too. We love to indulge on home based food, we would rather cook a sumptuous kare kare or pochero than dine somewhere else. The kids are exposed to that kind of food. I guess that it really is important that a mom knows how to cook real food.

Another reason is that I did not exposed them to junk foods (that’s what I call frozen goods and instant foods) at an early stage. My kids only learned to eat those when they were more than a year old and two for my first born. I also never allowed them to dink soft drinks and limits their flavored drinks intake (like iced tea or juices). But kids are kids, and they can’t say NO to ice cream or donuts.. hihi

Did you watched the Pacquiao- Cotto fight? We did in a local TV station. I actually planned on watching it in an eat all you can restaurant where they offer a breakfast buffet and lunch buffet plus a live showing of the fight for a very affordable price. That would have been perfect specially that the fight lasted up to round 12. But I knew I would give birth before the fight, we have to be contented on what the internet, the radio and our local TV has to offer. So while waiting for the fight or any news on the Internet, hubby checks out www.onlinecasinoredbook.com to get a Las Vegas feel. He wants more info about the games played in Las Vegas and wants to try out slots, you know just for fun. He knew I would not allow him to go anywhere near it, hence he checked it out through the internet.

Back to the fight, our local TV station started to air it at around 1 PM (if I am not mistaken). They would show round after round but in between rounds, they would insert 10 to 15 minutes long advertisement. Round 12 was shown around 5 PM. It took that really long. But longer than that is the issue involving the winner. The issue of Pacquiao and his rumored affair with his co star in his upcoming movie (yes we have a boxer, an actor and he is a singer too). I will blog about that later, still need to think a more discreet or nicer words to say about the rumor.
